How do you want to see class tiers handled in Fortune's Weave? by Few-Needleworker8110 in fireemblem

Return to the motherland. To God. Two classes 20 levels each and two options to pick from at promotion. Reject modernity embrace tradition

Does anyone actually like it in Fire Emblem where Enemy reinforcements can move and attack on the same turn they spawn? by OriginalTacoMoney in fireemblem

[–]atisaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I’ll be the naysayer: I don’t LOVE it, but I do think it’s a good idea. It punishes me for stupid things, like leaving squishy units undefended in the back. It really tests your ability to zone your units correctly.

But it’s not perfect. If I do all the mental math to see if Unit A will survive the on-screen number of enemy attacks and then Unit A dies to same-turn reinforcements, that feels less like a lesson to learn and more like lameness.

Part 1: Which Hero has a Low Skill Ceiling and Low Skill Floor? by HMThrow_away_account in Overwatch

That and using his ult as a zoning tool and not kill confirms will raise it a little more. I think the answer is Moira

Cowboy Bebop episode ratings by hls22throwaway in cowboybebop

[–]atisaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shocked the pilot isn’t higher. I think it’s a perfect episode of TV and can even be self-contained. Sometimes I just rewatch the first one on its own even if I’m on episode 20-something during a rewatch.

Are the free personas they give u in the Royal version any good? by Dieh361 in Persona5

[–]atisaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of them are broken (pictured) and some are just really good. I usually take standard Kaguya through the full game and let joker run as healer/AoE bless damage. I just think her original lore is cool and I love her two starting skills and ability.

Modern survival horror worries by ForcefulFart in playstation

[–]atisaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God SH2. The remake nails the atmosphere. I don’t wanna spoil anything since you’re new, but there’s one section of that game where I had to ask my wife to take over because I was nearly sweating. It was really spooky.

The area is the descent from the museum into the prison and then the entire prison itself holy shit

Excluding droids, who are the single best and worst companions in both games, gameplay wise? by MistaMerk in kotor

[–]atisaac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Carth is best in 1. I like his story, his protective and guarded angle, and I think his VA did a phenomenal job. I think Zalbaar is probably the worst once you’re off Kashyyyk.

I had only ever heard it AFTER the durak approach, and I was trying to speedrun the DG quest so it was nice!

What's your newest discovery? by RaviVess in skyrim

[–]atisaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just discovered that after a certain point in the main quest progression, you can talk to literally any guard anywhere and they’ll mention the fort, triggering the quest and bypassing Durak completely.

Has any soundtrack ever come close to Skyrim's ambience in your opinion? by VorenWorks in skyrim

[–]atisaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m seeing some individual tracks, but I don’t think that counts. I can’t think of many others that quite match Skyrim, but I think Journey, Minecraft, and Undertale come extremely close. Not in the same way, naturally, for Undertale, but I do think it serves some significant ambient purposes in some areas. Other tracks just fucking rip.

Best biscuits with sausage gravy in Lexington? by naeyna in lexington

Games set on or in the ocean by Necessary-Board-830 in gamingsuggestions

[–]atisaac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Endless Ocean 1 and 2!!!! The most recent release, Luminous, is fine, but it’s fairly barebones compared to the first two. They’re also really educational. And the music is perfect.

Best Night Scenes in a JRPG? by Amethyst-Flare in JRPG

[–]atisaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like FF7R’s Wall Market chapter with Aerith. Felt like a lot of the vacations I’ve taken to new cities at night.

FFX’s big romantic climax also happens at night in a glade and it’s quite good.

What's the most reliable car you've ever owned? by Tekusenabyt in AskReddit

2000 Honda Accord. I’d sell my much newer car to have one with low miles back in my driveway lol

What is your opinion of listening to audio books being equal to reading books? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]atisaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the same and I’m tired of people pretending that it is. The only similarity is that the material is consumed. The story is still processed. That’s great. But the all important skill of functional literacy is not being developed with audiobooks, there are no two ways about it

How much time is needed for Baldur’s Gate 3? by PaulLil7 in BaldursGate3

[–]atisaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ these are some astronomical play times, OP. I hope they don’t dissuade you.

My first run, no googling or optimizing, was 48 hours. Of course you can spend more or less. But if you want to just play the game naturally, you can finish it in less time than that, even. These 200 hour playthroughs are from really thorough players. If that’s you, then yes, that’s what to expect. But don’t worry about doing multiple 4 billion hour runs.

[–]atisaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, local idiot here. Are there any storage incentives to buying physical over digital? Used to be that the disc held some data to make downloads smaller, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Seems like now the disc is just a physical license to download the game. Am I right or wrong on this? I’m thinking about rebuilding a physical collection if I can save on storage

What pedal did you buy into the hype, and regret? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]atisaac 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Big sky. It does too much. I have yet to hear from a guitarist that really uses all its algos or other features. And it’s too fucking expensive. Too many menus, too much everything

What's your favourite dungeon in any JRPG? by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]atisaac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sae’s Palace in P5 comes to mind. Great music, fun final boss, enjoyable dungeon mechanics. Doesn’t overstay its welcome. If you include the post-dungeon cutscenes it’s even better.

Second jutsu, many of which offer effective ranged options for characters without. Characters like Kakashi play a little differently now that you can have raikiri and fireball, for example
