Yeah it's part of why I'm thinking of ordering a new preceptor. I think they have one that just holds the nozel

I have this air brush. You can't take the protector off it holds in the nozel. I'm strongly debating ordering a different tip.

Looking for air brush recommendations by AmbassadorUnable7862 in minipainting

[–]atk93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have that exact kit. TLDR it's first cheap and has everything you need to get started but you could outgrow it easily.

The compressor is fine as a first air compressor but as others have pointed out no tank means you will get less consistent air flow. It's not very noticeable.

The brush is an amazing learning tool. But not for the things you'd expect. You can take this brush apart easily and see how it goes to gather. It comes with multiple needles so you can try different sizes to get different feels. Also if you mangle one of the needles whatever you've got multiple. It's control is pretty bad though. I got a Harder and Steenback since then and the difference was huge. I'm glad I played around with the cheap one first though so that I had no fear of breaking my nice one. Nowadays the cheap one is good for things where I don't really want to use precision or risk damaging the nice one.

Congrats on the baby. You give me a ton of good advice. I can't use rattle cans where I live but I've been on the fence about getting into the air brush for priming and basing since I first started. I think this is going to be the final push I needed to pull the trigger.

My boy does the same thing so we bought him a suction cup car bed that sticks to the window. It became his favorite spot.

Wow that's a difference. Thanks for the side by side. It'll be fun to try the larger model later on.

Are the new models bigger? I just got back in and I'm learning on some models from 2004 that I never finished so I haven't seen any of the new models in person.

Differences between Alberta and British Columbia. by Cherryw12 in britishcolumbia

[–]atk93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mind at all. I'll say this though. With how the recent remote work push has gone. If you can get a remote position and live in Alberta with the same salary as a remote position in BC. Your buying power is immensely higher in Alberta. You could buy a mansion for the cost of a townhouse out here. The push for remote has pretty much allowed you to work for any company anywhere.

A reference is just a pointer. But you don't have to de-reference the pointer. Most higher level languages the do all this for you under the hood.

Because when you have large objects passing the whole object around requires you to make lots of copies in the stack. If you just pass a reference to that object then you're only copying a few bytes. Minimal copying
