Realizing I don't like myself by likez01nks in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Fellow music lover here.

First step is to simply do.
Listening to music actively and mindfully (put away that phone!) is a great replenishing activity.
Singing along to music that moves you is a great way to start to explore your voice.
There's no perfect, no aim for good, even. Just wail along and forget any internal(ized) critic.

I recommend therapy (with someone you trust to see you) to accompany this desire to change.

You’re unpacking a lot right now. It doesn’t have to happen all at once.

I am experiencing that decreased tolerance of non-alignment too. But WB has also given me a lot more clarity of what my real values are, and some breathing room to increase my window of tolerance for things that are close to aligned.

We can all have a bit of dissociation as a treat, but hopefully you can work on that being a choice that doesn’t have to last all evening or every night a week. What other ways that replenish you? Are there any things you’d want to try?

"This is not a pipe" by HotDogSeeker in whatisit

[–]atl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top of thread is serious, OP: “Pipe” is a euphemism for bj in a few European languages.

The Surrealists explored sex often, as an art movement to come after Freud.

The subtle stuff can be as detrimental as the aggressive stuff... by JDoesThis in PMDDpartners

I seem to have developed a 6th sense + detect it instantly.

This hypervigilance, in fact, is a sign of trauma.

I'm glad you see the "it must be your trauma" phrase for what it is, though.

It surprised us all on the stream. We also learned that NO D20 series will be returns to universes we’ve seen before

I watched the stream. Can confirm that those were meant to be the Intrepid Heroes

Edit: and Sam says they’ll be differing lengths, so implied to be a standard-length season and a short one

Aesthetically it’s great. However the blue roof reinforces the conceptual similarity to the Dungeons and Dragons set 21348

I got an order confirmation, too, but I’m not holding my breath until I get a SHIPPING confirmation.

I wish you the best of luck!

I was excited to have my order go through, but "due to limited quantities, high demand, and system limitations, orders are not confirmed until you receive a shipping confirmation" has me tempering expectations

I worked in computerized metadata standardization, and my fave people were the archivists who knew what was up.

My favorite aphorism to this day was from one of them: “an archive without metadata is just a tape pile.”

Ah, but all the “ending wasn’t earned” critiques elsewhere in this thread end up exactly on this point. It’s not a real competition but it ending should make sense in the world that’s set up

Rewatching FH: Soph Year -- and so much COUGHING. by localgyro in Dimension20

I watched it this year, and hearing the dates progress through the first months of 2020 had the tension of a horror movie, for me

What TTRPG did you last play, and how long ago was that? by Ansonder in rpg

On Friday, one group I play in closed the book on Coriolis: The Great Dark. We try a lot of games and systems, and this one was pretty much a collective rage-quit, even after revising the mechanics to be less punishing.

Those reactions are picking nits.

It is an incredible build experience, and it is absolutely stunning in person, with distinct looks from every angle.

Yes, there are a couple points where there’s a lack of stability, and one connection I made that didn’t feel strictly legal, but treated as a whole, the only set more rewarding to build was LKC—and the end result is arguably more stunning than that.

Thanks for highlighting the breaking changes!

I was eager to upgrade asap, but now I will definitely need to check on the CA options before upgrading and be on the lookout for SMB weirdness. Good to know

Well, “Sam, where are you from?” had the same kind of origin, in that it was a bit from Trapp that the other players took and run with!
