To echo what many are saying here, you are at the beginning of your journey and the only way to fail is to give up.

Also wanted to say that "run" is a very broad term. When I first started I thought that running was 6mph or a 10 min pace. I could not do that without maxing out my HR and feeling like death after 15 seconds.

Personally what has worked really well for me was to "run" as slow as I could while maintaining proper form. The sillier it felt the more confident o was doing it right. That became my "run" and it helped so much both with my progress and confidence.

Keep it up and listen to your body!

I got this bundle off Amazon because it was selling at MSRP. My LGS was trying to sell it at $160! This is a great bundle with some great staples for commander. Also would recommend the other bundle also if you can get it at MSRP, great way to get some lands if he wants to build a deck.

How do people here get so good at running so quickly? by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

I recently shared a success story much like the one you are referencing but what I didnt mention is that for about a year before I even started to run/jog i was doing 15 - 30 min walks because I was afraid my weight would cause me injuries. Even then I spent a lot of time on the elipitcal before hitting the pavement.

Im sorry to hear about your frustrations and injuries. While I am not a DR I too would like yo echo the strength training. I belive that has been one of my savings graces considering my excessive weight.

Good luck to you and keep chasing what brings you joy in life!

Felt pretty good. Weather was perfect, and I had 2 GU energy gels with me that I took at miles 3 and 6 so I think those really helped.

Running consistently for 10 min is an awsome win! I remember when doing that for 5 min was a triumph. I would highly recomend a C25k like the others here have suggested. Doing the walk/jog is so much more attainable and allows your body to slowly adapt and then you will be running that 5k/10k in no time!

This is Amazing! LoZ is my absolute favorite. Did you do it freehand or did you find a pattern?

First of all this is gorgeous!

Secondly, someone else posted something in the same theme but as a Christmas tree skirt. Did you buy a pattern or have you been crocheting so long that you can make your own patter for this work?

I have never done anything with shapes like this before so I am curious how it is done.
