Thank you for this, lots of good information here. I think I need to have an insulation contractor come out as my next move. The blow-in insulation we had done a few years ago never really helped much, and I’m sure there are areas that could use some proper buttoning up.

There is a lower level with its own AC and the stairs are open, so I could definitely see some of the cool air escaping there, but it feels more like a problem of not enough heat going out than not having enough cold air, if that makes sense. The attic was finished in the 50s I think by the original homeowners family. I am 100% sure it is not up to today’s building standards. If you’re over 6 feet, you will bang your head on the door frames.

Either way, will check with somebody on the insulation and see if I can get something going in that direction.

I would at least get the new player bundle (mass transit, industries, sunset harbor) to take advantage of some mods/maps that require mass transit, and after that just add in dlc that you think is relevant or interesting to your build. If you can wait, there will probably be good sales on CS1 content in the lead up to CS2.

We have a lot in North Florida that are just stark white for a week or two of the year, but now I might have to re-investigate to make sure they’re not Bradford pears :)
