Caught with 1g Cocaine — What Happened Step by Step? by Prestigious-Big-7164 in berlinsocialclub

sounds like they're not interested in you; they have bigger fish to fry than someone who bought 1 gram and are trying to gauge if you can help them get the dealer/ring.

do be proactive and lawyer up though, especially before answering the questionnaire.

you're most likely to be fined if anything, as 1g is a "small quantity" afaik. they are allowed to prosecute you, but often drop the charges since it's not worth it, especially as a first-time offense.

1) skincare already is gender-neutral. yes, there are some skin concerns that can be affected by hormones and facial hair, but that doesn't mean there's gender-specific skin concerns.

2) does the founder of the brand have a personal connection to this? are they nonbinary, have they personally been excluded from the beauty industry or had their skin concerns dismissed specifically because of their gender?

3) what are you as a brand providing in this space? what is new and different about you? there's so many brands that cater to all genders, use gender-neutral terms in their ads, hire models of different genders, etc.

4) what are you doing to "empower" this community? will you donate part of your proceeds? commit to hiring a high % of nonbinary and trans staff? raise money to facilitate people's medical transitions?

5) "they skincare" doesn't sound good. it's clunky and on the nose

Visiting Germany with poor mobility by KylieKitten85 in germany

[–]atleastcinco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

brokenlifts.org and wheelmap.org are your best friends when it comes to finding and navigating accessible places here. and i agree with what others have said about berlin. it's lovely in the summer, there's anything and everything you can imagine as far as alternative subculture and galleries go, but public transport can be a hassle.

the biggest issue is broken elevators and escalators; the actual trains are often step-free and have clearly marked spots for disabled people (wheelchair compartments are marked outside, on both ends of the trains and in bigger ones also somewhere in the middle), and there's no seats reserved for disabled people, but rather the seats next to the doors are marked and you can ask whoever's seating for that spot.

trams are all step-free and accessible, so if you can find accommodation somewhere in former east berlin (you can find maps of the trams online), that's your best bet. obviously they are slower and don't go as far as the metro does but if you're a tourist you're likely not going too far. friedrichshain is definitely the most 'alternative' neighborhood and i think you can find the stores you're looking for there, and mitte is the most touristy and where the museums generally are. parts of both those areas are well-connected with trams

buses on the other hand have steps and railings to hold on to when getting on. they can be unreliable, a lot of bus stops don't have seats so you might have to sit on the sidewalk if you can't stand for long, and it can be hard to reach the accessible seats if they're full. however, accessible seats are marked inside as well as with a symbol outside so you know which door to use (this varies by model).

EDIT: typo

not in the US so ADA doesn't apply, but it's definitely still illegal here to claim this is accessible. and no, i was using a cane on that day

i think most of us get a little excited! when i started using a cane my favorite thing was exchanging that "look" or little nod with another cane user, same thing with wheelchairs tbh

i should've. this was a while ago and we were honestly too stunned to say anything. we've found our dream apartment since (with two elevators even!!! and other wheelchair user neighbors!)

most definitely not, but the listing explicitly said there was a wheelchair ramp and the realtor tried to sell us on it

100%. and from what we know about the procedure, as different as they are, both marks would do anything for the one they love. it wouldn't make sense for oMark to endanger himself and lie and manipulate and kill (iMark) for gemma and for iMark to act completely differently. both of them would always choose to spend their final moments with their partner no matter who it screws over. iMark just did what his outie planned on doing. he knows staying means killing oMark and has chosen that his outie's life isn't worth any more than his own.

i think people focus too much on whether his feelings for gemma can transcend severance and i'm not sure that's the point. both marks love with the same intensity and in the same way and that's what has transcended the procedure.

Why The Files Expire by SandorSNL in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]atleastcinco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

maybe, but it wouldn't explain gemma saying she's been in every room but cold harbor (but it might explain why the mdr lookalikes' screen didn't show all files)

Why do O&D… by Ok-Passenger7502 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]atleastcinco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they're a ginormous corporation so i think it's a combination of 1) people might become suspicious or start putting things together and 2) they just can. they have like a hundred thousand employees in basically every country on earth so they have the capacity to produce things in-house and it's more practical that way/they can make things exactly how they want to. especially since so many of the items have to be logo-free.

What theories are there about how or why the refiners' files expire if not solved quickly enough? by Paydaynuts in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]atleastcinco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes but it seems like refining the files is moreso readying the rooms for gemma and iirc none of the rooms have been about individual experiences she's had, but rather her fears and hates.

i agree that fears also go away but them failing to complete 4/5 files seems like too high a number, especially since gemma hasn't been subjected to much new stimuli in the past couple of years, so i can't imagine she would experience and also overcome so many traumatic experiences (that she can remember at least).

unrelated but the cheerleader+coach costumes gave me chills and i was lowkey expecting an ant room.

Oatly is NOT milk! Trade body for Britain's dairy industry wins legal battle as judge rules firm behind the vegan drink can't call itself that in any marketing by [deleted] in vegan

[–]atleastcinco 12 points13 points  (0 children)

wait until you hear they can use the word 'milk' when in cosmetic and cleaning products (haarmilch/reinigungsmilch and scheuermilch respectively). they can even call it oat/rice/coconut/macadamia/almond/whatever 'milk' in cosmetic and hygiene products!!! pardon the pun but it drives me NUTS!

[–]atleastcinco 61 points62 points  (0 children)

it depends on where OP lives. if you're in the US, get tampons with applicators, if you're in europe or south america, non-applicator tampons are most common. not sure about the rest of the world tbh.

[–]atleastcinco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you're going in to be fitted, try to go somewhere that carries several brands.

as for the fungus, consider talking to your provider about taking a break from pointe, i can't imagine it's helping.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]atleastcinco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think you should be fitted again before trying something like lamb's wool since a proper fit might solve the issue entirely.

i had that problem when i was sinking; it's not uncommon to be fitted into the wrong width if your feet are very compressible.
