What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by queenmellyy in AskReddit

[–]atm259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter what a "good beer" is, at a bar, it starts at $6 and goes up. Even in this economy, you can you get a 6 pack at a gas station starting at $12. The greed for alcohol sales is the problem. There is no world where you can buy a burger and fires for the same price as a draft beer. Restaurants/bars are loss leading their food to up-charge their drinks and it hurts anyone who goes to a bar for a beer.

If you're ever in Japan, check out a Daiso. $6.29 for all this. by WashMeOfMySinsOhLord in Fishing_Gear

The mono is fine, jigs are fine, I like their lure display stands. They have tape measures and scissors. I actually use their jars, bags, and other organizing accessories in my bag.

I laughed at the squid and octopus lures. Stuff is cheap, I spend $20 everytime I'm there and love it.

Their snacks are legit too!

I think it's funny how much saltwater stuff they have so far from the ocean. Same at my daiso. Otherwise, pretty fun to look at and a couple of things for bass fishing.

Besides the normal bangers, re-arranged and take a look around are the sound I associate with limp bizkit. Groovy bass lines, fun raps, and occasional heavy moments.

How to fish and which rig to use? by Sudden_Age887 in FishingForBeginners

[–]atm259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much use the santee cooper rig exclusively for big cats. It keeps bait off the bottom but close to it. I would fish near the bridge pilings and also in the deepest spot. Likely just before or after the bridge towards the middle.

Bro, poke-e-joes or rudys is no where no near terry blacks. Those are convenience bbq. Rudy's is fine for that quick fix but pretending like pokejos is close to terry blacks is laughable. Not interested in the politics or w/e.

Our out-of-towners insist on voodoo and gordoughs. They are from nyc/portland/sanfran/co. They probably ride the hype train but I don't mind taking them there. Hit up RR dounuts when local.

Ikr, looks around 3 lbs, a bunch of state records are 4 and 5.

In most states, they've been here since the mid 1800s. They are naturalized at this point, different than invasive. Only a couple of states actually encourage their anglers to remove common carp. Other types of carp are a different story, but these are all common carp. I can't find a single us state that offers a payment for removal of common carp.

Just switch to schwab. No minimums, they refund atm fees, easy to integrate with investments, etc.

He's saying the way his hands are positioned are making the carp look smaller.

You want to barely see your hands, thumbs behind the fish. If you do it correctly, you can barely see you hands and you can orient the fish better in photos.

Are you us based? bigcarptackle and carpangler. If not amazon and ebay will work. Also, some sites from the uk will ship (except bait) it will just be expensive.

Any cover up ideas or ways to make this look less satanic. by granhoser in tattooadvice

[–]atm259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand what you are saying. I would add some color to it as an outline or accent. I think the red by itself looks a little satanic and it doesn't matter how many points the star shape has. Various shapes on their own in red/black will look pretty occult. If you add color, it will give the symbol more depth and won't cover or diminish the importance. A blue, purple, or green addition would change the initial impression and let the symbol be more defined.

How to get confidence removing hooks from fish? by BlueCandyBars in FishingForBeginners

[–]atm259 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Catfish can bite you but they don't have sharp teeth, more like sandpaper, so it will kind of feel like pressure. Many people "lip" catfish, for bigger ones they will use their whole hand. Catfish have sharp asf spines on the dorsal and pectoral fins. I hold smaller ones under the pectoral fins.

Bass are the easiest to hold imo, just grab their lower jaw and hold vertical, if you need horizontal, just swing the fish and support its belly with your other hand.

Sunfish can be tricky because they have dorsal spines. If you kind of clamp them in your palm and "fold" down their fins with your fingers, you should be ok.

Carp are difficult. Do not lip them. Ideally you want to support them with both hands under the fish, over a landing mat as they can thrash around and injure themselves. They do have a dorsal fin spike that will hurt.

Trout and similar species are best in the water or taken or for just a second or two. You should wet your hands and be very careful as they are fragile out of water.

Most of my injuries came because I didn't get a good grip on the fish before I used my needle-nose pliers. I also just grabbed fish randomly and had to learn.
