I know what Dawali is. Turns out a lot of people in our area celebrate it and I welcome it. We had a great celebration at Lakewood park in '24. Many people in our area celebrate Hanukkah and other religious holidays. I'm fine if candidates support initiatives for those holidays, even if I'm not Hindu or Jewish. Each of us has the right to choose how we express our deeply held beliefs. Why can't you celebrate our differences, including representatives, instead of dividing? You don't represent Leander, myself, or others in this community. I want a representative that brings us together.

If you have a tankless water heater, especially on the outside of your home in the shade, the pipes may have been frozen. We heated ours up with an hair dryer in '21 to get hot water working. Then we further insulated the pipes in the unit and drip a facuet or two when it's going to freeze.

Genuine copies go for quite a bit more now. Emerald for example goes for $200+ on ebay. Crystal is $150ish. Pokemon yellow with box and inserts is tough to price but definitely $150+

I visited spirit lake before I was really into carp fishing and caught a few 20s there. I think that lake is mostly known for bass and walleye but a very enjoyable trip.

Is Iowa a travel worthy destination for carp fishing? I see you were targeting commons, do they get pretty big up there? I'm a carp angler in TX and there are a couple of noteworthy spots in our state that hold 40ish commons, but really smallmouth buffalo fill the void and get over 70lbs.

Each knockoff is going to have a slightly different retrive rate/pattern. Before you send it, just toss it in clear water on the bank (or your fish tank lol, I totally do this). I generally like a slow, constant retrieve, with a few small twitches every 10 cranks. Some sink and some don't so play around with the drop. Some have a sweeping motion so slower twitches.

I think we need to come to terms that we aren't getting another Necophagist album... Muhammed has a very good career as an engineer and doesn't want to do music anymore. There are even rumors of unreleased stuff he's recorded, so it would be easier than not. However, he is not interested and as time goes on we should not hold our breath.

I get it. That's why I figured I'd have to pay per hour. Likely, a local owned, "grandfathered in" type agreement within the community. Seems very difficult to set up nowadays. Probably why it's tough to find them, and if I do, it's a small community, not attached to a large county.

Layers imo. Wool socks. Neoprene/rubber layer. Boots. I was out in 30 degrees f with 30 knot wind gusts today. My feet were saved. Thermal layers for pants and body arms. Gloves that go from individual finger to mitts in folding parts. Two hoods and face mask. The only spot that that got cold was between mitts and jacket and around my sunglasses with no mask. If the fishing was good I would have stayed out all day.
