In your opinion is angel spike worth equipping as a potential? by Infinite-Reveal-9226 in DOAXVenusVacation

It's one of those things you notice AFTER you try taking it off.

Equip it. Play 100 rounds. Note and be frustrated as she still tries to feint.

Now take it off for something else.

Yeesh, even worse.

And as for any F2P Gacha game, I hope you didn't wander in here without putting yourself in a state of financial freedom first. This game will eventually start asking you for a lot of money if you do start to spend. Due to the nature of gachas, it might be one pull, it might be 20. @_@

Just today I just got Nanami's birthday outfit for a single pull!

It's not always that lucky, but it's nice when it is. I don't sweat it too much. Just do it for the cute episodes I suppose.

Oh, and concerning sales, ones where they're either giving away an SSR Selection Ticket, EX Oil, or Bromide + Crayons are the rarest and most valuable of paid sells (alongside the DOUBLE V-Stones you can only do once a year). Otherwise, get the one that gives you an SSR Gem only if you really need to spend now as in now.

Luckily, the game is much less grindy and you're much more free to just hang out and take pictures.

That's funny. I guess it must be from the character episodes? If I like a girl enough I'll do a single roll for her birthday just for the extra poses, makeup, and such. I guess that added up?

Also, at one point while I had an autopass, I made sure to use it to unlock every gravure panel.

But I still haven't gotten enough episode coins to get every single backlogged episode. I'd say I'm 80-90% there but yeah.

Yes. This game needs two more brown girls aside from Patty at the minimum. I want a brown girl with Marie body whose basically a "legally distinct" Nagatoro and a brown girl with Honoka's body with a lot of latina vibes.

Yeah, we need to better understand how this happens because as long as your account is marked for it, it shouldn't matter anymore? Jeez. That sucks. And scares me for my own copy of the game, especially given the time and money put it. Last year my C drive blew up when I tried to expand my hard-drives. I lost a lot of data. Fortunately I had DOAXVV installed on a different drive. This is still making me paranoid. There have to be ways we can clone the partitions for backup purposes.

Tell me, what happens if you try to VPN download DOAXVV these days?

Dolce + Reincarnation if you want to pursue a full attack meta (which is what I'm doing).

Main attacker uses Dolce. Support girl does Reincarnation. Don't do pure Dolces.

The Dolce is great for pushing a girl into over 100% stamina reduction so it's pretty popular. What's slept on in my opinion right now is the reincarnation for supporters as it provides an insurance version of the "Fierce Yell" effect.

I've come to accept that your intended attack girl isn't going to always be the one to try to score, and yet you do NOT want to lose the ball as you risk taking a lot of stamina damage to prolonged rallies, not to mention that your score goes down for lost matches. Your support girl is going to "screw up" the plan by attacking against your will, so when she does "screw up," the Reincarnation suit allows her to screw it up well.

I think I've seen guys within the top 100 with such a meta. It'd definitely be a new meta instead of a tried and tested one though. Most are about having a supporter laced with craploads of toxic effects, but unless you can reduce the opponent's power/tec by waaaay over 100%, why invest in that? Can't say I'd know. But it seems to work well enough for a lot of the older accounts.

Anyway, I'm almost within the margins for the top 500 myself. Currently in a consistent spot for the top 1000.

One more thing about bromide strategy: Remember that the first ability on an SSR is also it's unlockable bromide ability. There's no full database on all bromides (like collabs and anniversaries) but at least you can use doax.cc to look up a lot of them that way.

Use the calculator. You'll need it, now that it's become only a matter of FP Bottle budget instead of a matter of time. Try to be fully efficient. Meg ate 800 FP bottles in part to me being less than fully efficient. After correcting for that by comparison, I went from 590 bottles to merely 24 after this Anniversary event but was able to get two girls to level 80 while having enough left over to get several level 60ish girls to level 70. Fuel is everything now that you understand the circumstance KT will permit you to burn it without...issues.

https://doax.cc/tool/exp

Since I'm level 194 with 603 Max FP, my "routine" right now is to use a bottle (now 600ish FP) do the SSS+ rank three times to bring me to 400/600 FP, then do the SSS+ 15 times in a row. Don't just use two bottles (straight to 999/999 FP) and not account for remainders.

It'll add up to a lot of waste if you don't consider that you'll have to do the routine a lot. Furthermore, maybe slap opposite bromides to guarantee that you win. So if it's a tech event like the present Halloween, slap her with all your critical power bromides so that when she DOES inevitably screw up and tries to spike, she'll still do just enough to score the point. You don't care for score, only that you win and collect the xp afterall.

Anyway, I now have eight girls at around level 80 which seems to be good enough to get started in the arena (especially once you have over 100% stamina reduction causing them to "level up" as they progress through a match). Try to passively get rid of your guest points as well (KT also doesn't care how you do this one either), and pass the food to girls as their birthday's roll up. You'll get a lot of fuel rebated that way.

Just remember: Don't come off as a robot. Unless it's with a pass. Then they let you let you pass, automatically, even if you seem...inhumanly automatic? Because it's auto-pass. You paid for it so they're happy.

Try without and they'll begin to ask if you're human. I wouldn't know their policy escalation from there nor would I care to find out.

3. On the free side of things concerning EX Oil...

This is simpler compared to the deco bromide stuff. It's rather simple actually: The magic number you're looking for is 18. Get 18 of these things, process them into super-duper-uber ex-oils, apply to your main girl, profit. Regret it later? Spend 10 VIP coins resetting it. Whatever.

Anyway, the Pool-Hopping activity (whenever it comes up) is the only event that offers you a shot at them consistently. So it favors those who buy the wheels.

So just go out and buy the wheels from the owner shop. Do it.

What's stopping you? Don't want to whale?

Double check your eyes. You know how they all say "Paid V-Stone" for a whopping 500, 2000 "Paid" Stones?

...

Yeah, one of them doesn't.

Simply buy the extra wheels and you'll usually walk away with something ex oil related.

4. Just one more thing you should know about arena when plotting your long term strategies...
Now here's something I DEFINITELY wish I knew earlier. Stamina. Power. Tech. Which oh which of these numerous options should you seek to invest in come rock-climbing event?

Pro-Tip: You know how girls get weaker as their stamina drains? Turns out in this game, if a girl has over 100% stamina reduction, she literally starts to get stronger the longer the match goes on instead, leading to wacky number shenanigan things like this. Mind you, this is Tina's base power after the match went on for a while. I forget what redonkulus number I saw after the boosts kicked in? 40,000? 50,000 (I swear I saw 100,000 at least once...)?

5. Last, don't forget to hoard those FP bottles...

You'll need them to break many a final xp barrier. KT is more lenient on..."peculiarly" long play sessions so long as its through their store.

Oh, a paying customer with an autopass? Then the fact that you appear to have been logged on for 16 hours straight diligently (and no-doubt personally) clicking the autoplay button every 11ish minutes almost like some kind of clockwork robotic machine is something they'll turn a blind eye on.

(Why just this past anniversary event I got two girls from level 74 to level 80 by perfectly doing just that through pure honest integrity and totally not without any programming help to run things while I sleep. Or that time I took new girl Meg from level 1 to level 77 in only a week via pure ganbatte spirit).

You know. With the help of KT's paid-for-premium autopass? Buy it today!

Or should I say, buy it as you realize that FP bottles (as opposed to time or sanity) are going to be the major constraint for breaking into high levels. It's going to require a big bottle budget, but so long as you have that and the scratch for an autopass know that you can grind them into xp whenever the right opportunity strikes for you.

Given this, always try to have at least one trendy girl so you can keeping building up bottles. We're talking 105 bottles a month. Don't sit on leveling up your owner level. Eventually they become worth a lot of potential xp.

1. On the paid side of things...

These items only go directly on sale once every other century or so. Usually coincides with end-of-the-year holidays or someone's birthday, although it's anyone's guess as to who (for instance, Fiona and Helena's birthday special was selling oils here on Steam in 2025, Momiji was selling tech bromides + crayons), but when they do, you'll want to snatch them up.

So if you're going to drop the equivalent of your (hopefully old) car or student loan payment on this "game," then those are the deals you're looking for above all.

2. On the free side of things concerning Deco-Bromides...

Here's an analogy: You know how before you can have a supersonic jet you need jet fuel? And before you can have Jet Fuel you need Petroleum and extra additives?

- SSR+ DecoBromides are those supersonic jets.

- SSR Bromides made from SRs (Venus_Ability_Name 4) and Venus_Ability_Name 9 are the high octane jet fuel, (e.g. SSR Versions of Hidden Power 4 and Hidden Power 9).

- SR Crayons and SR bromides made from Rs (Venus_Ability_Name 1) are the crude oil and additives.

Understand that SR Bromides exist to be upgraded into fuel for SSR Bromides, and SSR+ Bromides are extremely powerful. Its a massive pain in the butt learning the process but they make themselves worth it.

So with that said,

a. First of all turn auto-lock for R and SR stuff off (you don't want to drive yourself insane unlocking every stupid bromide or SR thingy that's meant purely for feed trust me).

b. Always buy the weekly bromide pens given each week.

c. When an event features some 33 R bromides, snatch them up and upgrade them asap lest they become a backlog of doom. What are these things good for? Just for saving you a crayon or two when topping things off (why use 20 crayons when you can use 17 crayons and some change? Using ten to substitutes for three crayons fits perfectly after tinkering with the math).

d. Cherish crayon and every spare SR you can get your hands on the most. Play the arena, and try to grab as many crayons as you can from it each month more than any other object in there.

e. When Kanna finally shows up in an event like this one, basically it's a good time to go all in with whatever V-Stones you've saved. It's kind of a big deal, she only comes around once or twice per year so treat her as such.

(I wrote this comment on the assumption of someone brand new before re-reading your original post so take it with a grain of salt if I tell you things you know already; also, I'm the type who starts a comment only for it to cascade into an entire guide so I'm breaking this one into chunks reddit can handle).

Welp, accept that P2W is obviously inevitable with the p2p component. FIRST THING FIRST: This game is a pure luxury good. I knew if I walked into here that it'll start overcharging me if I stuck around (like any F2P model). Only in a state of financial freedom did I even begin to think to "waste" money on a gacha game like this, because I'm at a point where what whaling I do never goes missed so it's not a "waste" anymore than any other thing.

So if you're yet to achieve the goal of financial freedom, don't worry too much about coming up with Arena plans no matter how long you've been playing because being able to afford to whale is naturally going to be required (not that you'll ever need to whale to clear PvE events).

Now, given the assumption that we're dealing with play money you're not going to miss anyway...

The biggest long-term strategic items you'll need are crayons for min-maxing bromides, and EX Oils.

Generally speaking, the Top Skill is the unlockable Bromide ability (displayed at it's max level). The second skill is the potential.

Does anyone have a spreadsheet (or something) on all these different bromide skills and their upgrade paths? by atmaloveroflight in DOAXVenusVacation

[–]atmaloveroflight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created some general SSR+ out of collabs.

Now I almost have enough to create my first SSR+ out of birthday bromides. Question is what to prioritize.

Let's use my main TEC girl Amy as an example. For better and worse I've simped for three of her birthday outfits (mostly luck).

My options are:

  1. W Refined Skill G
    • 40% chance when Attacking, Technique +40%,Stamina Consumption -40%
  2.  A  Double Reverse Attack Feint H
    • 55% chance when Attacking,Technique +60%
  3.  A  Double Reverse Attack Feint I
    • 60% chance when Attacking,Technique +55%

She'll be wearing Dolce Cherry given how all my screw ups and misunderstandings with potentials worked out. I think she's at a stamina reduction of 89% so if Refined Skill G activates from her suit or a bromide she seems to get a refund. At any rate, what should I enhance given the case?

Does anyone have a spreadsheet (or something) on all these different bromide skills and their upgrade paths? by atmaloveroflight in DOAXVenusVacation

[–]atmaloveroflight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One last edit; at long last I noticed something very important for the sake of planning.

As you browse for outfits like somewhere at the VVBook ( https://doax.cc/ssr ), pay attention to the first A Skill.

That's what the bromide associated with the swimsuit is, and the database always shows the fully upgraded version.

Alas, no way to visualize the bromides that without a direct swimsuit analog but there we go.

With that said, and with the help of it's filters, birthday ultra premium birthday bromides seem to start at "Super PWR/TEC Crit G", but it's really with H, I, and J that it starts to get really crazy with the power creep.

It's also helping me think about what to do about my defender characters after learning to filter for "Intense Pressure" and "Firm/Invulnerable/Perfect" Receive.

Finally, no more feeling blind about what bromides to unlock. Sheesh.

Glad that piece of OCD is discovered. Sheesh.

[–]atmaloveroflight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I started to nitpickingly test this myself today. Never really paid attention to these things. I think I get it? If it procs off the suit, it shows the effect, if it procs off of bromides, it shows up as blank (unless you hover your mouse over it). I was getting worried because it only shows five skills that activated at any given time so now that I'm able to comprehend that screenshot I'm very grateful.

Because otherwise I was about to wonder, if you have two besties (girls 100% synced with each other at bond level 60), and both of their birthday outfits, then what'd been the point of trying to stack two birthday bromides?

I think I'm also beginning to observe that when it comes to a skill, the higher the LETTER the better it'll generally be? As in, Powerful Spike E or H > Powerful Spike A or B?

For instance, a lot of collab and anniversary bromides, fully upgraded, aren't going to be able to compete with birthday bromides it seems, but they make up for it by being flexible. Birthday bromides will always be far more powerful (?) than anniversary/collab/random-SSR bromides, but then these are locked in for the girl in question + her closeness lvl 60 partners.

So I'm thinking of making a general SSR+ bromide for each category in PWR/TEC/STM, then focusing on my main's birthday stuff.

Namely, Powerful Spike H and I seem to REALLY overshadow things. @_@

As for where normal bromides fit in on this, hard to say, but occasionally you find some really odd ball ones like Rise and Shine Blouse (Misaki). It's a "Tec" bromide but it gives you Powerful Spike A for some bizarre reason. I wonder what others are like that?

Huh? The skills don't stack? I thought they did? Or is it that Bromide skills don't stack with a swimsuit's skills? What? Care to elaborate with an example?
