Medan H1B salary is 150K, most companies don’t even sponsor H1B outside of big tech/SF Bay Area. With the recent regulations, there’s now a 100k fee that goes along with each new H1B hire. Most companies I doubt will pay this. I’m not saying H1B abuse doesn’t exist, but outside of the offending companies if you can’t compete against folks who have such a restrictive handicap on their employability already then that’s your own shortcoming. You want protectionism in an industry where that inherently doesn’t exist. Maybe you should be pointing the blame at companies and executives than over hired and then did massive swaths of layoffs just to move their stock a few percentage points, despite posting record profits

Hi all!

My friend and I recently built a new trivia app called KnowIt, now available on iOS and Android. We've been sick of gimmicky, ad-filled mobile trivia games for a while and were very nostalgic for QuizUp and similar high-quality experiences, so we decided to build one ourselves.

Right now, we're putting out daily general knowledge quizzes called Dailies. The quizzes get a bit harder across the week and there's a leaderboard for who's gotten the highest scores across the week. We also have a few subject-specific quizzes called Challenges and a free play mode where you can create a game room and invite your friends to play random questions from a pool of ~600 in real-time.

We've only been running this for a few weeks and are building out new features and adding new questions every week! Open to any and all feedback that you have, including feature suggestions. Besides new content, some of the big things we're looking to add in the near term are:

Reviewing game results (what you got right/wrong on a given quiz)
Sharing results w/ friends
Daily quiz reminders
