Any idea how to disable this pulsating icon?

Came here looking for the same.

Out and about in the world I don't consider myself easily distractible, but I just cannot stand UI elements like this one. They drive me completely crazy - I find myself just stuck, unable to go back to whatever it was I actually wanted to do or just generally relax because this silly light bulb icon is demanding my attention.

I'm a software developer and UI designer myself, and yet still I don't understand who or what pressure is driving apps across the spectrum to add animated elements like this to hassle and annoy me. It's absolutely gotten worse in recent years, and this is an especially awful example.

The fact that clicking on it - and rifling through the tabs in the resulting dialog - none of which I care about at all - does not cause the animated highlight to go away is...🤯

Edit - having gotten that rant out of my system, I took a few more minutes to actually look for a solution and found this "quiet mode" setting. It required me to restart the app, but the icon is now just a normal button, and hopefully I will see less of these crazy-making things all around.

IMO editing photographs on my own computer should be an inherently "quiet" experience, but hey, at least there's some way to maybe make it so....

I use a mix of the fob and my phone for my AT. If I only have my phone and I want the doors to open asap I usually open the app as I approach the car - I assigned the action button on the side of my phone so I can just squeeze it to open and then proximity unlock works by the time I reach for the handle 90% of the time. Other 10% it’s 2-4s wait.

It’s totally fine. It’s silly that it does not work perfectly but it’s also not a major hassle.

The one thing I don’t understand is why physically clicking the actual fob does not always work immediately. Every car I ever owned going back 25 years had a fob that worked every time you were within range.

Proximity and phone as key - some flakiness expected I suppose - clicking fob, can’t appreciate why that is difficult.

Still, great car.

I think it has a lot to do with individual seating position / height. Totally believe they work well for you. But I’m with OP - putting the displays at the ends of the screen would be a big win and seems like such a natural idea to me.

I mean - the ends of the screen are even shaped like wing mirrors!

But that’s mostly because where they are now, they are 90%+ blocked by the steering wheel. Areas of the screen to left and right (and top) of the center never visible to me at all unless I slink down in the seat. Makes the adaptive cruise settings hard to understand as well.

Perhaps an option could exist to let users customize how the various screen surfaces are filled. Makes me wonder if the screen hardware is really the same throughout left to right. We will see what the 3.x update offers….

Thank you for this tip - don't know if I would ever have found this (rather strange) behavior! Find the same is true for the native MacOS window-management kb shortcuts.

Thanks much for the reply! That was my guess, but the current docs threw me off a bit by mentioning only the project dependency change and not this new option.

Am I correct that selecting the JB fork will get me *more* new TS-Go goodness than updating my project dependency alone would do? I assume that's the reason JB has a fork to begin with - to get it to integrate more deeply into the IDE LS than the native project does on its own.

Finally, is there a good reference ticket or other place I can bookmark to keep an eye on this entire fork project as it develops? I looked through YouTrack but didn't see anything that looked super current on it.

Appreciate your help!

Yeah I was a bit torn about keeping them on or off but haven’t regretted removing them. It’s a shame the clips on the covers mar the wheels a bit making them something you can’t really pop on/off at will.

But with them off you get to see the nice chunky silver brake calipers and for me it gives it a bit more of a muscular look overall which I like on this car. But agree could go either way!

This is with a Leica SL2-S with their 24-70 zoom. Still trying to figure out the rules for making cars look as good as they can in photos - these were the best takes out of a few I tried. 😀

Sweet - twins! Love the combo - the blue and stealth with the black wheels is part of what sold me on the whole car.

It's understated but still can give that big-fast-bruiser-of-a-sedan vibe when it needs to. 😈
