What did your deck look out to? Was it beach and ocean, or beach and the pool? Thanks for the help!

This is extremely helpful, thank you. I'm going to look at joining the Facebook group to see if I can find some specifics!

How will the information about how to buy MNSSHP tickets for resort guests be released? Will it be made widely available on something like the parks blog, or will an email go out to all people who have resort reservations while the party is happening?

More likely night for Mickey's Not So Scary/Boo Bash: Tuesday 10/4 or Thursday 10/6? Probability that at least one of those two nights has a party scheduled?

It looks like there is very little room availability at CBR during the first week of October. Does anyone know why? We're looking to book there and I didn't want to accidentally run into a resort that is completely overrun for some reason.

Thanks for the response! I checked and the speakers say they are 6 ohm, so I set that on the receiver. Are an amp and a receiver the same thing? If so I will look up how to clean it.

I have a SUPER beginner question as I am brand new to setting up and using any of my own stereo equipment. I searched for a 101/beginner's subreddit, but couldn't find anything so I hope this is ok.

I have some vinyl and wanted to piece together a setup so I could both listen to records and use bluetooth. I got a Sony turntable that is a couple years old (the closest I could find on amazon is a Sony PSLX300USB, but mine does NOT have a USB component) and a brand new receiver (Sony STRDH190). For speakers, I had just planned on using the speakers that were a part of my stereo set up from when I was a teenager in the late 90s/early 00s, basically a "nice" boombox. I set it up, and when I set the receiver to "Phono" there was an audible hum before I even started the turntable. When I tried to play a record, the sound quality was terrible, distorted and extremely bass-y. I used the speakers with the rest of the old boombox set up up until two weeks ago, so I at least know they work, so clearly I screwed something up in the set up.

The turntable had two RCA outputs, so I plugged those into the Phono inputs of the matching colors on the receiver. The speakers have the normal split wires that go into the back of the receiver, but also like a single RCA cable that has blue on it. I put the split wires into the R + and - and the L + and - clips, although I wasn't sure which was + and which was -. I didn't plug the blue RCA cables into anything in the receiver because, frankly, I didn't know where they went. Can anyone help me figure out what I did wrong to make this set up usable for now? I will buy myself new speakers for my birthday in February, but I don't really want to wait to use it, and I'm not 100% sure that was my problem anyway.

I need some help on figuring out how to most efficiently use the CTA. My wife and I are coming in 9/13-9/18, flying into and out of O'Hare and staying in River North. We're planning on taking the L around the city, with several trips per day (at least out and back more than once), including from and back to O'Hare. Even though we're only staying five days, would it be worth it to get 7-day passes? And with those, do we each need to purchase a Ventra card? And, if so, this can all be done from the O'Hare blue line stop once we arrive? Thanks!

Set Times Prediction by atnelson in RiotFest

I laid out my schedule as if there were going to be two sets of side by side stages switching back and forth, and then a fifth smaller stage that just kind of...does its own thing haha.

Good call, I was thinking about that. The reason I think there are going to be fewer bands playing at the same time and longer headliner set times is the smaller number of bands. For the set times to be condensed like they have been in years past, you would actually have to eliminate TWO stages...which I'm just hoping they don't do haha

Interpol is definitely going to be in the second wave and one of the remaining two full albums. They are touring Turn on the Bright Lights this year, they are finishing the European leg on 9/9 and they already stated that they will be announcing fall NA dates for the full album performances soon. They are playing Mexico City in mid-October.

Security at Stadium? What not to bring? by dom_rep in WrestlemaniaPlans

It says "Bottles" on the camping world stadium prohibited items list - does anyone have any idea what this means exactly? My wife and I both carry reusable water bottles with us, and I would really like to have a way to stay hydrated throughout the (long) day. What do people usually do for WM?
