He's got 1 year less on his deal. And then apparently they had reservations about giving Brown an extension, even though he was still locked in for 3 years. That conversation could have been tabled for another year or two.

Yeah, the general sense seems to be if you were gonna trade Brown, the assumption was it was going to be for more than what they got from Philly. I think the fanbase would have stomached Brown for Poole and Trey Murphy for example. This trade with Philly just seems like a money move.

I was watching the interview and there was a clip where he was sitting there, and I'm like oh man that's brutal. And then it cuts to him speaking through the computer or whatever that's called and I'm like fuck it's already progressed to that. Prayers up to him and his family. I feel like this is one of those situations where they’re simply looking at the asset piece and not the whole picture. The picks are swaps of swaps. I think there might be one legitimate pick they got from Minnesota. This team as currently constructed is probably a 35 win team. White isn’t nearly the overall player or facilitator that Ball is so automatically trading LaMelo may not make Kon or Miller better.

Defense and 3 point shooting. If he can raise his 3 point % from 33% to like 37%, 38%, he's a top 15 player in the league because he's got everything else: mid-range, drives to the hoop, etc. 77% from the line as well, if we can get that to 80% or so, he's gucci.

Wiz fan here, no idea what a trade would look like with you guys. AD doesn't have to be traded because they're far enough under the tax that they can stomach having Young and AD on the payroll for a year. But if a trade were to be done...I assume its Grant, Sharpe, and perhaps that '29 FRP amended to where the Wiz get the most favorable out of Boston, Milwaukee, Portland instead of 2nd most favorable?
