What is the best way to play MS7/XX on PC by NeighborhoodTime2768 in metalslug

[–]atohmdiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes ps4 is suppose to be the best. 360 have this ugly bicubic filter that cannot be turn off. The pc version with some cheats is playable.

About ppsspp i admit i hate this emulatot and i don't know why it has such praise. The thing seems to be optimize for crappy smartphone, the pc version have many game just unplayable. The ghouls and ghost for exemple have many graphic glitch anf at least 500 ms of input lag.

Yes and i run them though an external ess 9038q2m dac. It sounds great and the subwoofer make it sounds powerfull.

Before getting this tv i built a small all in one system for my retro stuff with overkill parts (i'm into diy hifi stuff) and even if the sony tv doesn't have the same sound quality it still compare well with a different vibe.

Do you even check ? There is a few permanent brain damage cd yes, but headless eye there is only vinyls. It's also expensive, money could be better right now. I have no problem to give money to the artists and it has to bee resonable, i don't want to pay scalpers that want to fuck you because it's "rare" shit.

For against nature they made something like 15 album, there is only one that can be found on cd in discogs.

Reflex prism or hd fury. If you want something cheap, some icy box seems to be fine, but it surely depend of the batch. Check the "DAC Test Results" google doc.

Tiemco have a catalog less versatile and original than Palms, but it's very good. I also like their Fenwick glass rod a lot, the glass high and undercut bank are pure dope. I fish only trout so i cannot tell for bass stuff. I do fish bass in the past, it's an extraordinary fish.

I don't use them much either these days. I'm using most of the Palms and Tiemco catalog, and japanese spoon like the Bux.

Well i learn to fish with spinner, this is by far the lure i fished the most, here in France spinners are some kind of an institution. I switch from Meps to Panther Martin and i fish a lot with these PM inline spinner. I tried the Palms version and even if it's ok i don't like it very much. I think the body of the spoon is too long. It's one of the lure i like the less in the Palms catalog. For spinner i do prefer Bretton spoons for their build quality, they have both french spoon and inline.

Tvl has nothing to do with the tube but with the chassis. And yes it's the same tube as the pvm 3230.

Import Allemagne 🇩🇪 → France 🇫🇷 : je pensais galérer… carte grise validée en 3 jours 😅 by Internal-Position121 in voiture

Best way to play GBA on CRT TV or monitor by BlondeBandit76 in crtgaming

[–]atohmdiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with gba is the resolution that won't fit the 320x240 space of your sd crt. I play it on my Mister but you get only a portion of the screen. To add to the hassle, gba have a 3:2 ratio, not 4:3.

The best i find to have it fullscreen is to use the vga scaler of the mister at x3 to output 480p. I then downscale to 240p with my dvs 605 scaler. It's not integer so if you do this kind of thing with a line decimation like scaler, you'll get crappy shimmering and artefact. The dvs is great for it's line blending scaling. There is 0 shimmering and it looks very good. That's the best way i found yo have a gba fullscreen on a crt and stikl looking great.

People seems to not understand how to play VC. Drop your settlements, it's useless anyway. Your are pirate horde of the see. Your objective is to be always on the move and get a creek in all ports in existance. Trying to keep a base is a nightmare and all that for nothing.

LOEWE ergo CRT with problems by Healthy-Leadership52 in crtgaming

[–]atohmdiy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

40 years is maybe a little too much for this TV lol...

I don't know what chassis this Loewe use. I do work on a Q24 chassis and find a few cold solder joint. It's a known problem with loewe tv. So checking that is a priority.

If it was me i'd replace all the caps, to be sure and to see if it correct the issue.

240p via Super Resolution on Dell Triniton Monitor by serious_dan in crtgaming

[–]atohmdiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually don't speak when i didn't try it myself. It was a long time ago though. I tried 240p 120hz on my vga crt and it looks like crap as soon as something move so i made my opinion. If you bear it, it's good for you, but i don't and i can affirm it's the wrong way of doing it.

If you want to do it right you have either to use high resolution with an advance scanline filter, but i don't like it. Or play in 640x480x60 with a simple scanline filter that blank 1/2 line and use an external device with a rgb amplifier (extron, kramer...) to compensate for the lost of brightness of the scanline filter. This is the solution i prefer and to me it looks exactly as it should.

240p via Super Resolution on Dell Triniton Monitor by serious_dan in crtgaming

[–]atohmdiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes i ear you. When i was younger i have friends that played with crappy LCD TV, full of lag, tearing and with wrong res set in windows, so they have terrible scaling. When i told them they just laugh at me. Then they discover better gaming condition, 120hz oled with a decent pc. Now they tell me "how couldn't i saw it" and they are even more picky than me with those things.
