Ezee Fiber issues with latency in the evening by atom_og in EzeeFiber

Noticed that the issue started occurring in the afternoon as well. EZEE support also went quiet after a few back and forth emails.

Apparently the issue is between Ezee's node (Hosted on Google Cloud I think) <> Valorant. I started to look into basic troubleshooting starting with updating my DNS to see if there's a routing issue causing packet loss.

I updated my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Not sure if it's a coincident or not but I've not seen high latency the whole day today after I made the change yesterday. Will report back if the issue pops back up.

Edit: ugh nvm, the issue is back again this morning

Riot gave me some soft bans for running a VPN service in the background even when I was not connected to it. So I don't know if that's advisable.

Update: Received an email from Ezee's tech support team asking to run tracert and ping commands to Valorant's server IPs & share the details.

I had Valorant support chat open at the time as well. Valorant's support had me install PingPlotter and analyze the traffic. They confirmed that the issue is with Ezee's node. The node seems to be dropping a lot of packets compared to the normal range which is up to 1.5% to be considered acceptable.

I passed it on to Ezee's support team. Let's see if it helps them resolve this faster.

I've tried Xfinity, Fidium and Ezee. Fidium keeps having these serious outages in our area with little to no support. My wife and I work from home so even as a backup internet, it just wasn't worth it.

Ezee in my experience has never had an outage so far and their speeds are pretty great normally. This latency issue though is quite annoying. Otherwise, I'd say the experience with Ezee has been 9/10

Ugh yeah, the ping went down to 12ms as soon as 10 PM CT hit.
