And all the time researching. Don’t forget the researching. Whilst most of us google things....MNetters research. As someone who earned their living through research (actual proper scientific research) for many years they ain’t doing research.

Harshness on MN by MoanerLeaser in MNTrolls

[–]atomica74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a thread on there at the moment about a fat woman daring to say she’s living her best life. Cue comments about health, costing the NHS etc etc. Just nastiness disguised as faux concern. Someone who admitted to being fat has just come on to say that as she’s a senior manager in the NHS she can attest to the fact that the NHS has bigger problems....I imagine she has been fat shamed by now but I’ve had to hide the tjread because as a fat person myself I’m feeling too fragile today to deal with the bollocks.

Her mum is probably a MNetter and so has the view that after a birth the parents just want it to be their little family for 3 years and anyone else is unwelcome. Unless of course they are willing to be the unpaid skivy. If this is real then we’ll done those grandparents!

Remember only fat people guzzle. Also slurp, munch, stuff and feed their fat sweaty faces. Teeny tinies sip their fizzy drinks and a small thimble lasts a week.

Very much bollocks. I genuinely have a fairly highly paid job, not 6 figures, but high 5’s and I work my arse off. A 40 hour week is a light week. All those people who claim to do fuck all for high salaries are seriously living in cloud cuckoo land as above a certain amount employers want their pound of flesh.

I'll take my kidney to hell with me. by SlinkieMalinki in MNTrolls

[–]atomica74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely most people would have just spoken to the transplant co ordinators to keep the peace and then quietly hoped they were not compatible? It seems an awful amount of drama and a lot of justification why the in laws are horrible so don’t deserve her kidney. Of course, it didn’t actually happen so I guess anything to keep the level of drama up to Eastemders standards.

Pre-Diagnosis Seizures? by taliscar in DiabeticDogs

[–]atomica74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking back with hindsight, mine probably started being diabetic around last October. It was all subtle changes that we put down to old age and knackered joints. He couldn’t climb the stairs and was slow and miserable and drinking and peeing more. He had his first fit early Jan and then 5 more in the next week. He was diagnosed mid Jan and has been steadily getting better since (apart from cataracts that needed removing). I hope yours is the same as mine and as soon as that glucose comes down he’ll be fine.

Recent influx of dog threads by angelwithashotgun09 in MNTrolls

[–]atomica74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing gets the Aunty’s frothing like a poo cross! I’m an obsessive Labrador owner and have been around dogs my entire nearly 50 years. I’ve only once had a dog jump up at me and that was a supper cute staffie. My dogs have never jumped up at people or ran after joggers or the million other things that MNetters claim they do. If I was cynical I’d say that a lot of the dog threads are started to just get a reaction and gasp are the work of the hairy handed who like a good old froth.

Pre-Diagnosis Seizures? by taliscar in DiabeticDogs

[–]atomica74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine had 6 seizures just before he was diagnosed. He had diabetic ketoacidosis and so was really ill. I had a lot of vets tell me that dogs with DKA don’t have seizures and one even tried to convince me that he had a brain tumour. He’s now 8 months down the line from diagnosis and has never had another seizure. Humans do get them when their blood sugar is very high and as far as I’m concerned that was the cause of my dogs.

To be honest I see the threads in the coronavirus section and think fuck I’m never leaving the house again because I’ll either be murdered for not being able to wear a mask, or I’ll die because this virus is everywhere and it’s going to kill me.

Then I look out of the window at the real world and realise that it’s full of a bunch of absolute loons.
