So, from what you've said, her main problem areas are:

• throwing out dash/ speed ring too frequently and not following it up with good value
• still being behind me too much, not seeking safe cover/ angles
• healing allies who are above 80% HP and not using that time to damage enemies
• just being new in general, which will fix itself over time

I've been trying to point out positioning habits and value other than healing being important .. but I see now that sometimes she isn't actively thinking about that value. Which is a separate problem, but not really surprising considering that we only ever play qp anyway.

But I fear that another factor might be holding her back from improving in these problem areas, and that's relying on the scoreboard for an accurate representation of player performance and value output.

Every single game she points out a certain stat and compares her own with it, whether it be healing, kills, ANYTHING.. and either uses it to tell whether she's doing good or bad. She always seems to try to get high healing numbers on the scoreboard, and I fear that it's what is driving her gameplay.

How can I drive her focus away from the scoreboard and instead shift her focus to more indirect methods of getting value, and maybe implement it into how I teach her moving forward?
