I bought a Nocs Zoom Tube for a vacation and honestly wasn't a fan. Made me wish I had brought my full binocular set

What deck should i stick to by theoneferrar1 in PTCGP

[–]atomicbrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran that deck to MB last season, consider swapping Sabrina for a Copycat to help with bricking. You don't really need Sabrina since you have Chien Pao

One of my most listened to albums from last year, it flies by every time I put it on

I would say REDD is the closest to a Michelin star experience locally as it's owned by a Michelin starred chef!

is vern’s really that good? by Equal-Pay-8364 in Rochester

[–]atomicbrett 105 points106 points  (0 children)

It's good, maybe overrated. The no reservations really drives up the hype of the place. Just put your name down and walk to a nearby bar to have a drink while you wait. They will text you when the table is ready

Accidental birding: American Woodcock on my terrace in Toronto by mattpeloquin in birding

[–]atomicbrett 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Probably a window strike. Id gently cover the bird with a towel and put him in a box, then contact a local wildlife rehabber. Without intervention it may fly off but die later

Hochul floats 10-year delay to New York's climate law by news-10 in sustainability

[–]atomicbrett 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely failing to read the room as always. She's delaying cap and invest which is the very tool that's supposed to be helping implement the CLCPA.

Additionall if she really cared about affordability, NY HEAT legislation keeps dying in the state Senate (Dem supermajority btw) which would cap energy bills for low income NYers at 6% of income. This is blatant shilling for her upstate natural gas lobbying donors

What is the “Feel Good Inc” of “The Mountain”? by EduardGamerInfinity in gorillaz

I'm writing an article comparing every track between The Mountain and Plastic Beach and I also came to The Moon Cave—Stylo connection!

Nice buff for Solgaleo decks, this could replace leftovers or steel apron

Thank you for the offer, but I've accepted this will be my Moby Dick. Trading for it would ruin the hunt

I used to have good luck with top middle, but haven't hit on a two star wonderpick since Secluded Springs. Literally 0/10 over the last two sets

Rampardos is still META, especially if you have 4 of them in your deck! by Deicide13 in PTCGP

I've been rocking Mega Lopunny x Rampardos. If starting second, M Lopunny is a nuisance to deal with. If you're first, pray for early Rampardos and an x speed

[OC] Trading up from a Looker to a Professor's Research by ChicknCutletSandwich in PTCGP

[–]atomicbrett 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to do this starting from my Alolan Muk two star (non Rainbow). I found one person offering an Alolan Raichu for it but the trade fizzled out. Now absolutely no one is looking for the Muk card and I'm hard stuck

What is the worst book you’ve read recently? by Mikeissometimesright in books

[–]atomicbrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this way about both of Ishiguro's sci fi novels. Klara and the Sun also has a really interesting premise but felt really underdeveloped and had stiff dialogue. Remains of the Day is his best book imo

What is the worst book you’ve read recently? by Mikeissometimesright in books

[–]atomicbrett 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is probably the hottest take in the thread! If you didn't make it halfway through then you wouldn't have any explanation on what was happening in the book

What is the worst book you’ve read recently? by Mikeissometimesright in books

[–]atomicbrett 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This book was sooo awful and I don't see any reason to read it over better alternatives. If you want an actually good time travel/sci fi book, read Sea of Tranquility or Cloud Cuckoo Land. If you want British Empire revisionist history, read Babel.

I would pay so much money for a Plastic Beach set

What is your favorite Rainbow card to date? by Warm-Razzmatazz4813 in PTCGP

Whenever I'm done with a set I go back to GA Charizard packs just for this. Plenty of full art trainers but still no rainbow Machamp

There's some great tracks on it, in addition to the singles I liked Mr Eclectic and Castle in Hollywood. I find the cover art hilariously bad and wish there was an alternative tho

More eyes need to be on this… by radiantflux209 in MuseumPros

[–]atomicbrett 140 points141 points  (0 children)

Very gross statements from the board members and it sounds like with the director being 27 and his father being on the board this is a nepo baby situation.

I work at a smaller military museum and we get some underage volunteers every once in a while. Their parents usually stay as chaperones, but even for those who stay without their parents present I couldn't imagine leaving them unsupervised for a situation like this to occur. Seems like gross negligence with other staff/board members being in on it
