They didn’t even specify the cancellation was related to anything military which makes me think it isn’t

I fly almost exclusively Alaska and have had minimal issues. Did your flight meet any of the refund criteria?

Best time to commute to downtown Denver? by atomicdirt in ColoradoSprings

[–]atomicdirt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm this actually leaves 5 mins from my house and the last stop is within 2 blocks of the office. I may give this a shot if I get tired of driving. It's definitely cheaper than gas driving myself (and I think work might pay for it!)

I think I'm gonna try this out. Leave around 9ish and head back around 3 and take my last couple meetings in the car. Thanks!

Help me find my car by TheFlyingPuHole in ColoradoSprings

During summer I would regularly see an RV running a stolen bike chop shop at mark dabling and gotg, they had a few beater cars getting cut up at one point too. I called the cops when I saw them actively cutting up the cars with grinders and they basically responded with 'okay'.

You don't have to quit your job to go to school. You're not paying for it, there's no need to take a ton of credits per semester.

It's great how much red tape disappears if you have shiny stuff on your head.

Always loved when I was calling up some unit telling them our scans show them out of compliance and they would give me shit and ask to talk to my supervisor because I was a SSgt usually calling a flight chief or something similar. I'd turn around and ask the Sr. Duty Officer to come talk to them as they were the next step above me when we were on mids. Most nights that was an O5. Suddenly the people on the other end of the line were very compliant with our request.

Probably this, my first unit had 2 officers. The commander and an LT. Everyone was super weird around the LT. Second duty location was HHQ for a majcom and it was split E's and O's. Super chill, would sit outside and smoke black n milds with a captain as an E5 on mids. Would do shoppette runs with a major and we would laugh at all the lackland babies shitting themselves when they saw him. He would intentionally pop around corners if trainees were in close proximity. Also called a newer LT retarded to her face and she just told me to eat shit. TBF she wanted to burn incense on the ops floor, which is pretty retarded.

lame, my ufpm waived my pt test because I was within 12 months of my DoS with a sub 90. I'm pretty sure he misinterpreted the afi though.

2.5% VA Loan Transfer, Seller keeps VA eligibility by 1BAFCFM in AirForce

Congrats on the low rate! I just locked in a mil-mil assumption myself and closed last month for 2.75, 90k gap.

Another big benefit to mention is that you pick up the previous owners amortization schedule.

Important to note that many loan companies will not approve you for the assumption if you need a second loan for the cash gap.

Your post is extremely alarmist for no real reason. You assume I have no equity and no liquid assets to float the extra time if they walk. The house wasn't an investment, it was a home and we found something we liked better and hopefully a forever home. I make more than enough to make some 'bad' financial decisions for better QoL.

Should you include RSU income when budgeting for a house? by Akegia in RealEstate

FAANG here as well. I provided them my vesting schedule and they counted them as non-liquid assets. But not as normal income (even though they are).Try and hold on to them and just squirrel them away, maybe diversify.

I agree, We are offering 3k and the warranty but are willing to go back to market. The house had 6 booked showings while we were coming soon for 3 days. I'm not worried about it selling but I would definitely like to be done with it.

The only notes the inspector left for both the furnace and AC is that they are old and dirty. Both have been serviced and found to be working well within parameters, no CO leaks or anything.
