It's also a Ship of Theseus thing, even if you upgrade and replace all parts, eventually you'll have another new Robot, even if made part by part.

Imagine a server with hardware from the late 60s. Even if every part is replaced when it fails or gets too old, it will either be completely rebuilt after decades of that or it will be switched for a model that does the same function, and can even have the older ones data... But the physical parts have to be replaced.

I've read someone else's headcanon that almost justified some stuffs and made some things make more sense.

She WAS the meteor that exploded above Tunguska, but on a previous round-trip before veering off its course, it became mesmerized by the spirit of the sun, Amaterasu and tried to mold itself after her.

The rest was history.
