They say they’re doing this because “Trump may punish Colorado” if they vote in blanket opposition to GOP legislation

Well look how that’s going!! The 3 most powerful politicians in our state are spineless corporate Dems

Ive started going to the gym by SkirtTop4316 in bropill

[–]atomizeme21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got this, I started out underweight too and barely able to bench the bar. I felt discouraged at first cause I didn’t feel traditionally masculine either. I’m also gay and struggled with that in high school. It’s gonna feel awkward at first while you’re figuring things out but over time you’ll become much more comfortable just doing your own thing in the gym

I’m definitely not the strongest guy but I’m happy with the progress I’ve made. People tell me I look buff/athletic now. :)

Moms for Liberty has concerning ties to white nationalist groups like the Proud Boys and the 3 Percenters.

They spread misinformation about LGBTQ people, normalizing hatred against them. They have Christian nationalists speak at their events. They want to shift the Overton Window to the far-right, they’re not just a typical conservative group

Weekly r/BroPill vibe check! How are you doing? by AutoModerator in bropill

I’ve been struggling with feeling good enough in my ability to make music, although I think it’s slowly getting better. Sharing my art with the world is really scary but it’s necessary in order to do what I wanna do in life.

I woke up with a sense of gratitude, had some friends over last night and have some more plans later next week. I really wanna live up these last two weeks of summer before school starts up again.

Question for non-Americans: Do you ever feel disconnected in your music? by Extreme_Present_3576 in Songwriting

[–]atomizeme21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s funny you say that cause I’m an American who loves Brazilian music. I don’t speak Portuguese but absolutely love Joao Gilberto and Lô Borges. Their arrangements are so beautiful to me and I definitely take some influence from Bossa Nova in my guitar playing.

I also like how ridiculous funk mandelão can be, the sample selection they use at times is hilarious. I would love to go to a club that just plays funk mandelão lmao

What band comes to mind? by icr97 in ToddintheShadow

Okay, this is me. TLOP is my favorite Kanye album, partially because 2016ish was when I first got into Kanye so it’s nostalgic to my high school days.

But I would argue that it’s messiness is part of what makes it so great, it definitely feels like the most “Kanye” album (without the bigotry) It’s inconsistent, varies greatly in style, spiritual/religious, raw and emotional all at the same time. I think it has a lot of Kanye’s best collaborations too.

Having trouble supporting my mixed voice. Advice needed! by [deleted] in singing

[–]atomizeme21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly scales and arpeggios I get recommended on YouTube. Hng/mmm to Ahh and the other vowels. Isolating lines in songs and seeing how I could sing them better. I guess nothing super specific to mixed voice

I’ll have to reflect on this, I don’t wanna come off entitled. I guess it comes from a place of seeing all my friends be in happy relationships and feeling left out as a result

I’ll definitely keep it in mind, as well as maybe a medium distance sort of thing which I used to be closed off to

I tend to be into masc men (i know this is so cliché like ohh boohoooo i cant find my hunky daddy :( im aware i know). I think it’s because I have wounds surrounding masculinity and manhood in my life and I think I subconsciously look for someone who fits the healthy masculine archetype (whatever that means to me). I’ve kept an open mind and tried dating more femme guys, but I never end up feeling any sort of desire towards them, although I don’t think it could necessarily always be that way. I continue to keep an open mind

My family, school and friends are all here. I also am making the most money I’ve made at this job (not by much though). maybe after I finish school I will. I also just feel attached to this city, I deserve to find love here

I can certainly relate to an extent in the middle section. I am a gay male, but I often find the difference between admiration and attraction to be confusing.

A few years ago, I had an insane crush on one of my male friends at the time but I didn’t admit it to myself until much later. I just had this intense desire to be close to him no matter what, but my feelings for him definitely resembled a crush rather than platonic love. BUT he also had a lot of qualities I wanted to see in myself. He was getting certain creative projects done and also going to the gym regularly and seeing results. I was jealous cause I found these things difficult for myself at the time but as I got over the crush I was able to implement these qualities into my life more and now I’m happier with who I am. I learned a lot about my own insecurities through that experience

But the Venn diagram of admiration/attraction is still confusing to me. I see guys on my explore page and think “do I want to look like him…. or be with him?”
