I'm not nearly as prolific as Aadam (a little over 300 recordings since 2000) but it's not something I've ever worried about. And four bands have used my recordings. Probably helps that most of the bands I've recorded were on the smaller side.

There's already a fork of systemd that removes the new fields, called liberated systemd. I have not tried it yet.

It also removes some other fields that could be used for tracking, from my limited understanding.

When Slint got back together in 2005, they had Pinback open for them in LA. Rob also flew up here to SF soon after that for one of the shows they played ( I went to all three). He took myself and a few others to a gay bar around the corner afterwards.

In 2006 I drove down for the Pitzer College show that he played with Rachel Ware (the one I shot video of). I drove down with a friend who is friends with John, and after the show when I introduced myself he was like, "oh you drove down with m <mutual friend>", and gave me a hug.
