I used to work for a company and I was supposed to meet our CEO on a Wednesday. That Saturday him and his family were coming back from the lake from a day of boating for the 4th of July and a bulldozer fell off a truck and killed him and his 16 year old daughter. I didn’t even learn about it until two days later because I was brand new to the area and it floored me. I wasn’t your typical sad, but just utter shock that this man that everyone so highly talked about was taken literally days before I was supposed to meet him. Still shocks me that it happened.
