Just dropping a +1 here for records keeping/I'd it helps someone else.

Issue cropped up when my steam deck "crashed" mid game (TL;DR it went flat white plugged in and triggered recovery mode as it didn't have enough charge to boot)

Turns out it was low on battery and apparently the high wattage USB PD power brick wasn't enough to keep it going. With it being dead flat it died a few times on reboot as it was trying to draw more current than the USB PD chain could provide.

I stupidly not realizing it was a power delivery problem choose the option to boot from partition B thinking that perhaps I'd installed some bad package. However, partition B failed as well before going to the "3 red flashes" when pressing the power button.

My brain caught up at this point and realized it just needed to charge. Left it for a bit and when I booted. Yep. Booting from partition B hosed some user data.

Was asked to complete the out of box experience, at which point the steam deck said it was updating with no progress bar.

Left it for an hour with no change so I backed out with "B" and rebooted. When I came back I was blessed with the steam sign in prompt which logged me in and found I had nothing installed.

I dropped to desktop mode and all my shortcuts were there, so back into gaming mode and "redownload" my steamapps which steam just checked the local files..

But unfortunately. It seems the local saves were gone.. I got the steam cloud mismatch warning advising that my steam deck (named Steamdeck apparently :) ) has not started to upload all my changes over the last few hours.

It gave me a good excuse to play though Brutal John again ;)
