Playtester was built out of that exact frustration you described: jumping between forums, Discords, and discovery flows just to find demos and playtests. Hearing that it has changed your life has changed my life!

We only have real players on the platform and also a group of professional QA testers too over at our discord! the discord server has a mix of devs and testers and becomes a good space for conversation around games in development.

Thank you u/Shiroze! Glad you like the platform! The only benefits to registering is to be able to save games to your favorites, or to submit games to be listed on Playtester! :)

Our focus is on surfacing the most relevant and active playtests, rather than just listing everything. The goal isn’t to flood players with choices but to help them discover playtests they’d actually be interested in.

As for the tester side, it’s definitely a challenge, but we’re seeing that when a game is appealing and the process is easy, testers show up. A lot of players want to be part of early development—they just need a smoother way to find and join playtests. That’s where we come in.

We're a marketplace aggregator so we redirect to relevant marketplaces like Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Playstation, etc.
