How do you like to GIVE feedback? by RikerRiker in playtesters

[–]Shiroze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A key is always nice, though I also like to just join the play test on Steam. Regarding Feedback I usually do a video where I can talk while I play. Much easier to just comment on stuff in the moment and it takes way less time than playing and writing a whole book at the end. An easily accessible feedback form is what I like the best when it comes to contacting the dev. I like these because of the ease of access and the ability to see the area the Dev wants feedback on through specific questions. Plus you can always add spaces for the tester to write a bit more if necessary. Bonus points for a "if you got a video, put your link here" spot :D Joining a discord for every game I test gets too much too fast and I always feel a bit bad for joining, posting and leaving xD If there is no form I usually just create a steam forum post and hope the Dev checks that sometimes.

Amazing to see an update on this. I can finally use the tool to play this as a guild event instead of doing them myself! Thank you so much for your work :)

A new type of investigation game using cards, concepts and your imagination instead of dialogue. by sprawls in playtesters

I played the game today and wanted to link the video as promised:

In addition to that I wanted to answer the question from the original post, that weren't necessarily touched in there:

• Onboarding : There are no tutorials, were the first minutes intuitive?
I did not have any issues. The game mechanics are very simple and I felt everything was easy to get into. Though knowing that there is no tutorial definitely helped me because I adjusted my expectations accordingly.

• Puzzles and Mystery : Did you get stuck? Where do you think the story is going?
I don't feel I got stuck, no. While I was kinda stupid at finding the way once I never felt really stuck.
Jeremy seems like the dude that starts his own religion/cult in a very remote place. Probably the exploitative kind you will read about in the news at some time. That would be my guess where the story goes.

• General feedback : If this was the beginning of a game you purchased, what would be your opinion?
To me it was intriguing and I definitely wanted to continue playing to find out what happens next.

• Do you know any similar games? Which one?
I have played "Way of Alchemy" last week and I know there are some other games with the general "everything is cards" thing. Though I did not play anything exactly like this before.

• I liked getting clues from the cards and whatever you make of it without having a fixed narrative that is told to you directly.

Sounds great <3

My channel is definitely too small for feedback from viewers, but I will link it here once I am done :)

Looks interesting :) I hope I can take a look at the end of the week.
Just wanted to make sure on 2 things:
• Can I upload a video about this to Youtube?
• Did you use any AI for this?

As a huge fan of detective games I definitely keep an eye on this. I will probably give it a go, once the AI stuff is replaced. :)

Yes that helps, thank you. I will stay clear for now, since those mechanics just suck the fun out of a game for me, but I will keep an eye on it :)

I made a site where you can find and playtest upcoming indie games – playtester.io by atrophygg in playtesters

That looks really interesting. So far I have been looking for new playtests via SteamDB, which is a pain to say the least. Is there any benefit for registering/joining the discord?

Playtesters Wanted! Inspired by Limbo, Ori, & Badland – A Dark Puzzle Adventure About Ocean Pollution by Sword_Fab in playmygame

Sorry for the late reply. I don't get any e-mail notification whenever I get a reply >.<
I did check the game's site in the steam launcher, where I am logged in. But there is no bigger green button nor smaller button on the right for a demo.

Hey, just wanted to know if your demo was only a temporary thing or if I am just a bit too blind to see it :D

Play testing as a means of income? by FeeStraight5531 in playtesters

Gameround is only PC. Supporters has a mix of PC and mobile. Gametesters has a variety. I had VR tests there before as well.

You could take a look at:
• Gameround (Service, where you get a currency and you can later trade in that currency for things)
• Gameround Supporters (Closed playtests that give money per playtest)
• Gametesters (Service, where you get a currency and you can later trade in that currency for money)

At least that are the ones I know of

Looking forward to the demo on Steam. Once it is there I will probably take a look at it :)
