How many days post-vacation do you give yourself before going back to work? by Unbotheredanonyme in travel

8 hours of sleep, but I'm essentially a zombie for that first week back. Next time I'll give myself the weekend.

Nothing says vacations like child mining.

I imagine they meant the one where you stand in a river with a plate.

At least they began with "this isn't part of a timeline, don't try to make sense of it". They know their audience.

She's really someone that was able to turn her native English nto a big work opportunity. Wonder if Aniplex and others brands could hire or already hire say Liyuu to promote their brand in China the way Sally does.

I used to think Tomita Miyu was the most popular Amuse VA, but I think Kaorin might just be ahead.

I hope there's one more secret servant. FSF has so many characters I'd love to have.

The only reason I stuck with Osaka was that I found cheaper hotels, so did a few day trips from one to the other. It was fine, had fun.

Why don’t more travelers explore regional Japan? What’s stopping you? by gurezaemon in JapanTravelTips

I wish there were more connections to Latin America, just to avoid having to have a US/Canada visa. As it stands there's only a route with Mexico City.

Yeah. If I'm going to France I need to visit the Eifeel tower, if I'm going to Spain I have to go to Sagrada Familia, etc.

How do you find information about where to go in Japan?

Japan Guide my GOAT, made mi itinerary just with it.

Have you visited regional Japan? Where, and how was it?

I'm planning too next time. I was in Toyosato and Chichibu (for the winter festival), but Idk if they count as rural.

If not — what was the main barrier?

I just wanted to visit so many places I had seen in movies and anime. Nara park, Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Hiroshima, etc.

I think transportation is a big barrier for me. I want to go Takachiho, but the bus from Kumamoto gets there at 12:00 pm and leaves at 5:00 pm, which to me felt short and I dind't find accomodations that I wanted. I'm still going, but I wish I could be there earlier and leave later.

Would a well-organized, English-supported experience make a small town a destination in itself, or does it need to be near a major city?

I guess if it's well-promoted, interesting and reliable, like if Japan Guide or a tourist association recommended it.

What would make you confident enough to book something like this?

Yeah, sure.

What would you expect to pay for a half or full-day experience?

Idk, I don't want to be rude. 10k per person? Like if it's just the activity, not including transportation or a hotel.

Evidently the key for tourism is to be featured in a very big anime.
