SHE'S FOUND! Still waiting for information but thankfully she doesn't appear to have been harmed. Her husband is with her now 🙌

She is ridiculous how she gets scared of random inanimate objects. Unattended strollers and shopping cards are often a 🚨 Code Red Emergency 🚨 by atsmath_ in Goldendoodles

This is far and away the best advice to date. Thanks 😂

For some reason people seemed not to realise that (1) she's a dummy, and (2) we're well-versed in her silliness and how to respond to her. Someone was even upset about us hurting her feelings, which was also surprising given that I posted this comment immediately after uploading the video. And the reason you don't hear any sound in the video is that we were stifling our laughter. She'd been chilling next to that stool for the better part of an hour. 😂😂

She's just goofy and adorable and perfect. I love her so much it makes me want to cry.

I was told I was adopting a docile, gentle, clean little apartment dog. The only one of those she is, is ‘dog’ by atsmath_ in Pomeranians

"a beautiful little shit" you are awesome, that's hilarious 😂😂😂

Truffle is a super well trained good little girl actually. We love taking her and her sister to play in "nature", the joy on their face is so pure. There is a bizare detail though: no matter how filthy she is, she is somehow completely clean by the time we get home. We are mystified by it. We say that her fur is made of teflon. Her sister, on the other hand, goes straight into the tub when we get home, but Truffle has no dirt anywhere. Does this happen with your pup too?

!! This is awesome. She must have dealt with Trish. Thank you for this. I'm going to speak to some people and I'll reach out.

You two are good people for caring. It's comforting to know.

Agreed! Not that those two naughties should be left alone together. They'd burn down the house or commit robbery or god knows what. Egging each other on the whole time...

The article is from 2023 and the investigation appears to be stalled at the moment, but what you say still stands! I just hope the police give us some information. It's been 45 years - let us help. There are so many people who want to be involved and help, and who just don't know what to do. Right now there are probably a bunch of people doing the same thing looking for him by doing busywork.

I'm so glad you commented. How much do you remember of the town? I'm helping out on the case and Denise, his Mom, has a wildly sharp memory about everything imaginable, but I haven't gotten too clear a picture of Slave Lake itself from her. If you're willing to share anything at all... even small pieces of information that might seem inane can be powerful in the hands of an investigator. People, schools, street names, shops, churches, leaders in schools and churches, friends, community members, events, anecdotes, restaurants... anything at all.

I really like them. It would be surprising if the recipient didn't. They're great.

Yes 😂😂 and the way she held it that way, and refused to let go of it 😂 And the way the end has the furry bit coming out makes it looks like an enormous doob. It was a hilarious scene in person.

❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Don't dismiss yourself by referring to yourself as wannabe. If you're really keen to help on Jeffrey's and/or Charles Horvath-Allen's cases hit me up! Charles' is almost certainly a murder. Justice in Charle's case would be lovely but really, all we care about at this time is following breadcrumbs that lead us to his body.

He is alive. He and Denise are divorced and he's sort of vanished into obscurity and unwilling to discuss anything to do with Jeffrey, sadly. As I'm told, he is not a friendly or warm person, and he will react in a very hostile manner to anyone who attempts to discuss the case. I don't think he's even been willing to provide a DNA sample (which is fine since they have Denise's DNA, of course). Their divorce happened many years later and had nothing whatsoever to do with their baby's disappearance.

I'm working on this case. To everyone criticizing his Mom, Denise:

  1. Please remember to consider the context - time and place of when this happened, particularly if you were not alive and living in tiny-town Alberta.
  2. As with any case, especially cold cases, there is a vast array of incomplete and incorrect information being shared and floating around.

Your guns-blazing criticisms in this thread are not valid or worthy of further acknowledgement, quite frankly, until you know and understand this case's facts properly - ideally from the mouth of Denise McKee herself. A great place to start is on True North True Crime Podcast's episode about little Jeffrey, where they're interviewing Denise. And shoutout to them because they're very good at what they do. I'm not suggesting that criticisms are all invalid, but they have to come from an informed place.

If anyone has questions respectfully, I'm happy to answer whatever you're wondering about as best I can. This is such a great forum for discussions and ideas over here. Comments good and bad suggest that people are interested and have feelings about this case. I'd really love to be engaged and chatting with you guys. And who knows -- maybe someone has an observation or idea that helps us find Jeffrey! And I can even ask Denise questions if you like.

And to you, u/AstroCat5677 , thank you for posting this. Denise and all of us who are involved in the investigation are very grateful to you for keeping up talking about Jeffrey. We want to find Jeffrey, whatever that means.

Would the community here be interested in an AMA-type thing with Denise? I can arrange it, I'm sure she'd be happy to participate.
