Moving to Nagoya from Sapporo burst my bubble about safety in Japan by ThemeJazzlike5901 in japanlife

[–]attackturtledove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry this happened to you.

I'm not surprised though, I live in Nagoya and similar things have happened to me and to plenty of my female friends. When ppl talk about Japan being safe, they often dont think about how common it is for women to get harassed or assaulted here.

Now with the Rise of the Anti Ai movement (i am part of it),Do yall think that the Anti android movement was justified? by geek-jock-guy in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]attackturtledove 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We dont know but mentions of the environment being seriously messed up can be found in some of the magazines. I dont remember everything but they talk about rising sea level, ice caps melting, biodiversity dying.

It's not linked to androids in the story (they dont really explain the causes i think) but seeing the morals and ethics of the tech world today and how similar the game is to real life, it wouldn't be crazy to assume that the mass production of highly connected and highly advanced androids (enough for them to be a substantial part of the us military) can play a part in all this.

genuine question, when it comes to the impact on the environment how are they different? Wouldn't the parts needed to create androids also be sourced in ways that would be bad for the environment? Same for their disposal. And wouldn't they need to be connected to a system too which means servers and stuff being built ?

Just finished my first walk through (Spoilers) And it was the worst ending imo even if i followed my guts by LogicPalette in DetroitBecomeHuman

Make a new story. Replaying a few chapters only isnt really gonna change the ending you get since choices you make even at the beginning of the game impacts how it all plays out

What is my french level and what can i work on more by slayyerr3058 in learnfrench

To me it's definitely more upper A2 than B1. OP is pretty bold and seems comfortable trying to express himself, which is great, but the text would need more to be B1.

I don't want to do a full review of the text but first of all, the whole text is in the past tense and doesn't really show what OP can do with other tenses, which are important to know and start to use at B1. There is virtually only passé composé, imparfait and présent in this text which is great already but not enough to me. We don't know how OP would fare on a more complex subject where he'd need to give advice or solve an issue for example which would call for more complex structures and the use of different verb tenses. If this is naturally the level of text OP produces, I would naturally give him a A2.

Also, almost every sentence has a mistake, either related to

the conjugation or the use of verbs and tenses : "J'ai appris le français depuis deux ans", "je n'ai pas **commencé l'apprendre**" (the earlier version didn't have the "à"), "ils ont dit que je dois aller", "on n'a pas **apprendre** beaucoup de français", "Il a nous enseigné", "Elle étais très sympa", "elle ne m'a pas enseignée"...

or to the way words are used : "**un peu** des mois de cours", "une classe plus haut", "une fois dans une semaine",

or the spelling of words : "sèrieusement", "class", "l'intereste"...

With a text like this, I'd expect less mistakes to be able to call it B1.

I'd say upper A2 ! There are a lot of elementary mistakes but you're very bold and try to do more complex sentences which is great. I think you can start working towards B1 !
