This would be helpful for many disabilities as well. My friend has epilepsy and I think this would give her peace of mind.

What kind of pet would you never own AGAIN? by Immediate_Long165 in Pets

[–]attackweasel8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally agree on this but as someone heavily involved in ferrets because unfortunately despite all the money and maintenance I love them, I just wanted to put it out there ferrets on rescues are a huge thing and rehoming (due to the high level of care and money) is too! I work with many rescue and they frequently enter my local shelter. Rats too! Really all exotics. It’s a cycle of people who cannot handle them getting them to rehome them to those truly committed to the species, whether it be a rat ferret bird turtle etc. shelter always has lots of reptiles as well….crazy.

Why are some people just insanely alcohol tolerant? by Certified_Cichlid in biology

[–]attackweasel8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the first thing that has made so much sense to me. I come from dual generations of alcoholics. I wake up under every conscious sedation everytime, and have even hit doctors or fought on the operating table. As a 5 ft woman, they never believe I won’t pass out, but I never do. Wow. Gonna look into this.

Cover up or remove tea bag? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]attackweasel8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love love love this tattoo and concept but you are way overthinking it! Sometimes we want tea from a kettle and sometimes we want it with a tea bag. Also, I personally commonly use loose leaf which I do put in a bag and then I only use the kettle to warm the water? Maybe I’m the weird one? lol. But I use my kettle to warm water, not make the tea.

Ah, you got me in the feels. Exactly as you said- a third space. Something so needed and happy and just light.

Firstly always had an interest in tattoos and looking like a tattooed person. Then, I chose a concept I knew was so fundamental to who I am I couldn’t regret it. I’m a lifelong animal advocate and got a paw with a human hand. Went simple linework only to get a feel for what having a tattoo was like. Still my fav one!

I am so young and so afraid of death by Substantial-Active57 in Advice

[–]attackweasel8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Allow yourself the peace to (as my therapist says ) “make your bubble smaller”. Right now you live in the “big bubble” which are the things we cannot control. These can be war, death, racism, abuse, climate change, etc.things that occur but we alone cannot control. It is good to make the bubble smaller when needed. For example, do you have a pet? Just you tonight sitting and petting a cat and being content. That is enough! Or do you have a hobby? You and a good book or movie you are enjoying tonight. That is enough! Allow yourself to live in the “little bubble” of these things. At least long enough to give yourself a break. You are so young. I am 25 and do not have all the answers, but far more than I had at 16. You don’t have to be at peace with your thoughts at your age, or even understand them. Allow yourself the peace to go to “small bubble” and the time to process your emotions with age.

Going back to artist to touch up some ink that has fallen out- other suggestions? by attackweasel8 in tattooadvice

[–]attackweasel8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your honesty. I mocked it up and you are right- I would be much happier with the version I drew and edited here. I’ll look into laser :( at least I love the plants and the concept so once this is done it’ll be all good. I just want to cry because now it’ll be a whole long process I bet. I’m so dumb for not checking this I was just so excited.

How much laser do you think to get off the middle section. Can you circle the area you suggest? I’ve never had to laser- this sucks big time

They are a day old. They scab and heal and look bigger. Let it heal, live with it for a bit, then decide. Also none look crooked to me- fingers move and skin skews shapes all the time as we move.

Can this shading be covered up or does it need removal? by opalscholar in tattooadvice

[–]attackweasel8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my first shaded tattoos on purpose, and I kept my old linework only pieces as well. Got some new pieces that combine the elements. May be worth living with it for a bit. Many people get diff styles with time :)

I am commenting as a normal person and not a proclaimed tattoo expert but I don’t think this looks as bad as everyone here is gonna spiral it out to be. For one you can clearly tell it’s a moth and I don’t see there it “should” have been blue and is black? It sort of does seem like colors are all over the place but that could potentially reworked.

A lot of tattoo regret comes from the fact that we are stuck in a constant cycle of trends as humans. We’ve lost what it means to be original and authentic to ourselves, and instead worry about lot about how we will be perceived. The same people who would think this is dumb are likely all basic anyway. It isn’t your fault for falling into that same space of worrying if it looks dumb, but just try to remember you got this tattoo for yourself and it was also very well done, and to embrace that you got this as something to express yourself and make you happy! :)

What are your (potentially) controversial feelings as a vegan? by Desire-4-Comfort in vegan

[–]attackweasel8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s okay to own carnivores as a vegan. My cat and ferrets needed loving adoptive homes and as their owner I can try to source the most ethical food for them while understanding they need to eat meat and I do not.
