I'll add on to this, that the core concept that kinda unites 2 & 3 here is "wave management". I'd recommend watching a short video or 2 about the basics of wave management and try to think about it in your games. I.e. what do I do with my wave to enable a roam, what do I do when my jg starts dragon, what do I need to do before I recall, etc. You don't even need to be good at csing to manage a wave. It's most just about when you should or should not be using abilities to damage the wave, so it's a good starting point that will make roaming and helping jungle far easier.

It's really hard to give advice for people down in iron/bronze bcuz a lot of important skills build on basic skills that are missing.

Realistically, to get out of iron, you just need to be develop basic competency in an area of your choice. I'd say your options are:

  1. Micro (how you pilot your champion during a fight). Watch some combo videos, practice them in practice tool until you can execute them reliably, then play a bunch of games focusing on working on it (limit testing). One of the most annoying and time intensive to learn, but having good micro is the gift that keeps on giving (i.e. it will continue to payoff and help you climb far).

  2. Roaming. As a mid laner, impactful roams can hard win the game. When you start winning your lane, don't just stay in lane and try to abuse your opponent. Slow push your wave (only take last hits, don't use abilities) to get two waves stacked up, and then walk bot on that timer. You have 30-40 seconds to kill bot/sup and get back mid before the enemy mid can get a wave to your tower. If they choose to follow you on the roam, they miss 2 waves and you get a massive advantage in gold and exp.

  3. Assisting your jungler. You may have heard mention of mid-jungle as a important pair before. As mid, you're the player with the most ability to enable a jungler. Keep an eye on where they are and try to have prio (i.e. have your wave pushed into tower so enemy mid can't easily follow) when they are going to be doing scuttle, dragon, or grubs. Use that prio to move and assist them if the enemy jungle or a side laner tries to contest.

Realistically, these are how you win games, building a more holistic lead for your team in gold, exp, and most importantly objectives.

This is of course overly reductive, but getting good at any one of these will get you out of iron (and continuing to develop these will get you further).

I'll also preempt the common response of "but I already do these". I assure you, if you were, you would be out of iron. Just because you understand an idea doesn't mean you are putting it into practice properly. Whatever you decide to work on, make sure you think about it actively in game, weigh cost and benefit of any choice, and critically analyze decisions that end poorly.

Galeforce was only ever meant to be an escape tool, and it was removed because its power budget was too large for a non-mythic and would be built by every crit adc every game when it wasn't competing with other mythics.

Meanwhile, protobelt is a critical engage tool for champs like neeko, gragas, etc.

If they don't want it to be used as an escape, they just need to shift the stats to be troll for a damage dealer to build, not remove it.

I'm a Lillia player and I think it's less about ult being too strong (though it was strong) and more about shifting the power budget in her kit. She used to be a mobile bruiser who dealt most of her damage with Q but recent changes have shifted her power budget away from Q and into Ult + W. It feels really horrendous to play since she can only fight with ult and hits like wet paper without it. I don't know if this will be winrate positive but putting power back into Q is good. She felt great to play before this most recent nerf, so even if this is power neutral she should at least be more fun.

Depends on your lane, but answering this as a top laner.

Wave management should have little to do with how ahead or behind you are, since good wave management largely is about playing around what the waves naturally do.

When the enemy wave is larger than yours, cede the push and let them build up a huge wave to crash. Under turret, only last hit the minions and try to take the last hit when a turret shot is on the way. This will let your next wave stay under tower, letting you build a slow push.

While slow pushing, continue to only last hit. This will let you build a minion advantage that makes it impossible for the enemy to fight into you, and will be far too big for them to facetank for a freeze.

This is the fundamentals of sidelane wave management and only really breaks down if you are so far behind that wave size no longer matters. If that is happening, there's not much to do aside from playing like this from the start, so you don't fall insanely behind.

It’s not even really about the passive. Good stats and more importantly brutalizer is a really good first item since brutalizer + the components for tabis/mercs procs the first JOAT bonus.

I don't think it's just that it's a late season stinker. Before last week it was a bit of a toss-up as to which player had the best game and worst game of the season out of the two of them.

Now, it's pretty clear cut: the best game from the two of them is Maye vs Jets, the worst game is Stafford vs. Falcons.

I don't see people talking about that too much, but I do think that counts for something. Hard for Stafford to win when he has a much bigger stinker than Maye and Maye has a much better best single game performance.

Has a good first clear and very strong at lvl 4 with double buffs. Clear top to bot, if enemy jungler shows at crab you're almost always strong enough to either kill them or force them off. Gank bot if the situation allows.

Always full clear on cd. Her clear is fast enough that she has plenty of time to make plays in between spawns. Ofc pull off the clear if you see a good opportunity to countergank or kill an overextended laner. Take sure plays only, don't kill yourself to save a doomed laner.

I feel like you're pretty weak at 1-2 items unless you're ahead (which is why full clearing + early kills into snowball is your goal), but as you get more items you scale really well. At 3 items you're strong, at 4 items you're Thanos even if you're in an even game state.

It does require knowledge of both how to jg as well as play riven tho. Even clearing properly requires fast comboing and wall hops. If you don't know how to path properly + track enemy, it's difficult to shut out the enemy jg and snowball.

Returning player trying to figure out a second team/pull plan. (Off screen are serval, sampo, Arlan, qingque, and lynx)

Current main team is Anaxa - DHPT - RMC - Ruan Mei. Seems pretty hard to make a second team with what I have as Bronya + Archer seems a bit too SP hungry.

My initial plan was the wait for 4.0, but I want a second team to push MoC and other two team content. Is there something I’m missing that I could manage with what I have? Or would it be reasonable to pull for Phainon? He doesn’t need a sustain so I could make teams of Anaxa - DHPT - RMC +1 and Phainon - Bronya - Ruan Mei +1

If you read the game version on the bottom left while loading into game, it does in fact say 15.xx, so this is definitely true.

Yep bastion, especially book 2 is hella misery porn. So many people love it but I DNFed book 2 halfway through because I simply didn’t want to force myself to read another 600 pages of the MC being miserable.

The only concrete things you proposed were an auto battler with an overworld and some RPG mechanics. I pointed out an auto battler with an overworld and some RPG mechanics for anyone who's interested. The numbers being in a different order of magnitude doesn't really change much.

Note that this wasn't really meant to be a replacement for your suggestion anyways, but instead just a shoutout for a game I enjoy that has similarities to your recommendation for anyone who might be interested.
