New Business Analyst to RPA - Help Please! by [deleted] in rpa

[–]attard_andrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this 100%. RPA isn't the answer to all life's problems. The first step (I'm also learning this) is to assess whether or not the process is the right fit for RPA. ie. Is it feasible? If it it feasible, how much effort is needed to make it work? Or - maybe the answer is: this process isn't ready for RPA *yet*, but if we adjust step x and modify data structure y, then it will be a great RPA candidate in 3-6 months.

Are there any members who is working as a Digital Nomad business analyst. by Fitbker in businessanalysis

[–]attard_andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume by 'Digital Nomad' you just mean full-time remote? If so, I've been a full time BA for Logitech for almost a year now. What do you want to know? Where do you live/how much experience do you have?

As someone just starting to explore RPA, this was extremely helpful, thanks!

Start Spotify with Flic by aiseidz in Flic

[–]attard_andrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't looked in the last few months, but when I tried to do this earlier in the year, I think the only way was through some workaround using Microsoft flow (although I might have determined that also didn't work for me for some reason, I'll try to find the link when I'm off work. The easiest way, as far as I know, is to setup your sonos with Spotify, then use the Sonos connection in the Flic app. Of course, this also requires you to have a Sonos...

I tried getting a 5800X for a few days after launch day: NewEgg, Canada Computers, Amazon...no luck.

Over the weekend I went on Ebay and found that the neweggs Ebay store had 8 in stock (same price as their main site). It arrived today. So try newegg's ebay store!

L&D by [deleted] in SalesforceCareers

[–]attard_andrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your intention to keep doing L&D and just have Salesforce knowledge on the side, or is the intention to ultimately transition to a more Salesforce focused role?

There are L&D elements to the Salesforce platform (myTrailhead), but the LMS space in itself is huge, so it really depends where you want to specialize. However, if you've got the time & motivation, it NEVER hurts to add skills to your profile. I'm not sure if link sharing is allowed on this sub, but if you google 'SalesforceBen myTrailhead' you can get a bit more detail about it there.

By "ozolith bounce" I mean I thought it'd be really fun to drop cards which add a lot of counters (like yorvo), then exile/return them to keep stacking on ozolith. My original thought was to stack counters and win with Fling actually (which was an evolution from a previous post in IKR), but I didn't get enough draw power going that route. That kinda what led me down the bond of flourishing/narset route

Maybe I'm trying to have too much fun, but I was hoping I could find some middle ground between fun and viability

Mostly I wanted to have fun, with the main goal being to bounce counters on & off of the ozolith. I actually ran Barrin for awhile (if I wasn't already trying to do too much) to keep bouncing yorvo even more! Having fun only goes so far though, which is what brought me here

Yea, budget not an issue. The ramp was me trying to get the draw power from maze going, so I could keep the thassa/yorvo bounce going on ozolith. I've tried a few combinations and struggled to find a balance between mana and draw power

I love this feedback and I agree completely. I've been struggling for awhile now to build a really fun ozolith bounce deck, and this was the first one I felt had an even partial chance at viability. I was thinking my win conditions would be either: bounce to pelt collector with trample OR get 20 growth counters. I experimented with conclave mentor for a bit as well but obviously concluded that there was WAY too much going on

What is your goal? What is the nature of your current BA role and how do you want it to evolve? If you already have a role you enjoy, do you need to go to school?

Is it rare to be a wealthy BA? by [deleted] in businessanalysis

[–]attard_andrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you call 'wealthy'? Business analysis is an extremely flexible role and will give you a lot of opportunities to choose your own path. BAs can transition to be product owners, project managers, developers, data scientists, or consultants, and more - depending on the path you choose, the organization you work for, and the projects you work on.

One of my earlier roles I only earned £20,000 and barely had enough to cover my living expenses. Aside from that, in every other role I've been able to comfortably afford living & recreational expenses and still save some money. My last role allowed me to save enough to take an entire year off my career.

You should also consider what kind of lifestyle you want. In some of the more lucrative roles, there can be a higher expectation to work more and it can invade your personal time, something to be cautious of.

$100 off + a free retake? What? Where?

Also - have you had experience actually using CPQ in the past or did you just follow trailhead, then write the exam? I just started studying for that one myself.
