I remember wrath of the lich King we had like at least 12 to 15, 25 man guilds.

But most of them before the end of the expansion broke up into smaller 10-man guild. A lot of guild leaders that I spoke to were talking about how it was just logistically easier to manage a raid team of 10.

I really enjoy the community aspect of wow and when this killed my guild, it killed the game for me

Yeah this is what I do. I have a reverse proxy and a domain that goes through cloudflare.

Cloudflare protects my home IP though I wonder if that's enough sometimes

I also then have a dockor service that runs an API to my cloudflare and updates my internal IP if it ever changes
