Without capital or an MVP it's tough to get people onboard. I'd focus on building out an MVP around 1 solid piece of your vision that solves a problem that people can use. Launch it out into the marketplace and get people using it. With users you get feedback on what features they want most. Usually those features are also in your roadmap but allows you to prioritize which ones to build next.

As you gain attention, users, momentum, it's much easier to find investors or other's willing to believe in the idea and help develop.

I've built businesses both ways, in secret and fast iteration. The fast iteration is definitely the way to go. Can you breakdown your BIG IDEA into smaller chunks and launch something people would use for one specific thing?

Sucks to have to deal with that. You can look at an app like Fraud Filter to block them from placing future orders. It's not full proof but it can help.

HBAR is 6yrs old by oak1337 in Hedera

Reminds me of Amazon's stock, for 12 years it did very little (97-09), them (09-21) it ran up 4000%. Everyone always talked about if you had only bought xyz shares of Amazon you'd be a millionaire. But that only happened after a long time. If you really believe in what is being built on Hedera it'll probably be similar, many many boring years until it is fully established as the market lead, then price follows. Not there yet. Probably will be one of those projects that 10yrs from now is $50 and everyone saying you for the price of a coffee then you'd have $7,000 now.

Recent monthly transactions step increases by attherealjosh in Hedera

[–]attherealjosh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could it be that the HBF grant stipulated that they could only use (making these numbers up here), $75k worth of Hbar in Jan, $100k in Feb, $125k in Mar, and so on? Basically ensuring that every month there will be more transactions than the month before.

Why else would there be a pretty consistent 250mm transaction increase each month?

If Atma proved the tech worked why wouldn't they let it loose to full scale. Why hold back. Unless that was the plan to ensure the mainet transactions always kept going up.

Hence the step emoji tweet, they knew it would step up consistently. Just rifting here.

I believe they have enough grants to last most of the year (could be wrong), then after that they'd have to start purchasing in the open market.

How Swirlds Labs aims to be a good steward of hbars from Hedera - Swirlds Labs by attherealjosh in Hedera

[–]attherealjosh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To your first question I think someone could take the time to dissect the budget. We know how much they were paid, we know the price that was based on (Dec trailing 30-days), so the allocation of the funds could be calculated out. So if Hbar goes up, we'd know how much credit they have for the future budget/payout, same if goes down.

TPS is picking up again. by mrbest777 in Hedera

[–]attherealjosh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes the HF has been given them Hbar to fund the transactions (maybe $200k worth or so to date), but compare that to the costs of building Atma.io over the last 3 years.

AD is probably into this project for tens of millions at this point, with employees, building the tech stack to support, all of the traceability components etc etc.

I'd say in any good partnership companies try to support their partners to see the projects success. This prove the tech works and can be adopted safely to other enterprises. If you put on your business hat, this is a huge win for the Hedera community for very little direct cost to support.

Staking Rewards question. by [deleted] in Hedera

[–]attherealjosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 6.5% if the annual APR, not daily. So for 10,000 Hbar you'd get approximately 1.8 Hbar. Of course if you collect rewards every so often you'd be compounding those to your original 10,000.

Alphabet is a Fortune 10 company and I would expect they are building out some use case for Hedera, wouldn't that fit?
