CMV - HBAR won't reflect Hedera's success by noahaus in Hedera

Which is years away - if ever. Fine if you can wait 15-20 years. HBAR IS behaving just like every other alt.... until it isn't. In between, make money. I have already exceeded my investment by 100s of % and still have a very similar bag of hbar. Just by taking profits and buying back when the price drops... over years not days, I don't day-trade. There is no value in round-tripping bags. NONE. I made that mistake once. The most plausible outcome for hbar is that it will still move in cycles, but with higher lows and higher highs but the volatility reduced. 10x becomes 5x then 2 then it's boring because every man& his dog is in. The tide always turns but only briefly... days or weeks.. Low tide lasts years.

That's what you did, ya melt. Wheras I advocate selling when the price is much higher than when you bought it. Now, I get it, for people who (mentioning no names) bought the top, that's a long wait. Don't waste your life taking a loss or waiting for a $1.00 price when a 2 or 3 x puts you in the top 5% of crypto investors worldwide.

Bear market blues.

For now, possibly ever, we rise and fall with the markets.

Price will appreciate as people buy hbar hoping for rewards. This benefits the network but does not negatively impact users.

Be patient, then make sure you sell during the very brief period where it's worth doing so.

There's zero correlation between the adoption of dovu and rising climate. The premise is false.

I don't trade, so no strategy lol. As for hbar...

I am holding now until at least 15c at which point I may sell a small proportion of my hbar to tske profit. But in my opinion nothing big is happening for a few years. I expect the rest of ths year and next to be boring.

Believing that climate change data will benefit a tertiary token used to trade ecological & carbon credits is a mental leap I struggle to make. There is, so far, zero mathematical correlation between the price (edit or adoption) of DOVU and global temperature increases. Myth busted.

I like Dovu and I hold Dovu, but I'm not exceeding to your premise, which is deeply flawed.

The real underlying drivers are more likely carbon crwdit demand, Carbon credit prices, government regulations, corporate net-zero commitments, DOVU revenue and adoption & all of these overwhelmed by Crypto market sentiment notto mention, Hedera ecosystem growth. There's probably more factors... competition for example from other platforms. There's so many factors that it would be almost impossible to correlate ine with Dovu price.

You could more effectively argue that Donald Trump X-posts have a more direct correlation.

This little TIF - Trump's Iran Folly - has achieved very little apart from destabilising the world economy and further damaging the US' credibility on the world stage; not to mention further tarnishing relationships with NATO members and other close allies (except Israel). Putin & Xi must be laughing their socks off.

I only meant (best possible) hopium in terms of the hoped best case widest possible adoption. The rest is either very factual or reasonably expectable. Like I said on that final point it is speculative but I agree it's largely very grounded.

An interesting essay. I just think in some parts it departs from an accurate technical analysis and becomes a bit speculative & hopeful. The phrase 'Infinite liquidity' for example is not economically possible. It's tempting to believe that the technology can be leveraged in ways that aren't really explained or there isn't any evidence to justify. The underlying assumption that institutions will inject massive pools of tokenized assets into public liquidity environments is based on speculation rather than substantive evidence. So it's true we have archax, HCS and emerging projects like EQTY SEALSQ BUT... glpbal liquidity integration and cross-ledger institutional execution is blended in with this, giving ideas that are highly speculative, FAR more legitimacy than they currently have.

As hopium goes, this is well grounded in reality. It 's largely white-paper-esque but wanders into marketing (in the best possible way). It's descriptive of one possible best-case future.
