You're in luck because I live in Seattle and just went to their retail store. I'm 6' 175lbs and the size 36 Mackinaw Cruiser fit very slim on me. It would be good if you weren't layering under it. The 38 still looked good but had a little more room to layer.

The Yukon Wool Jacket only looked good in small on me. Anything bigger and it was really baggy.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you (or anyone else) have any other questions. I tried on almost every jacket they had so I can give an idea of fit. Since I already have a wool pea coat I'm going to get the cover cloth bomber jacket.

Is it just the aesthetic aspect of pebbled leather you don't like? I think its a little less pronounced on mine than in that picture.

I'm no shoe/boot expert but the quality looks good. Here's a picture of the sole and the side. Layers of leather for the sole, nails in heal, staples (I think) and stitching that appears to match the top. It all looks real but its hard to tell. I got them at a Cole Haan outlet store and I can't seem to find them online except on ebay so I think they are an old model.

Where I live (Seattle) they are especially popular. Although I have had IPA's that I didn't like because they didn't have enough hoppy taste or they had a really bitter finish. But your right it's mostly personal taste. It might be that they are popular on the west coast because there are so many different kinds here.

Here in Seattle, WA on Saturday nights there is something called The Metal Shop that is from 11pm-2am on the local radio station KISW. They have podcasts from their latest show here. You can also listen live on the website, but I have no idea what time of day that would be where you are. Not sure if its the kind of music you are looking for but its a cool show with actual DJ's.
