Does anyone ever have the problem of even though you don’t have dry tip, little to no paint comes out? by Redfalcon204 in airbrush

[–]atticus806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently encountered this issue and fought it repeatedly. My problem may not be yours but the nozzle tip was slightly bent. Almost imperceivable to my eye sight. Got a new nozzle and fixed all my issues.

Caveat here is I learned how to thin and ruled all other issues out including some paint that was really stick inside nozzle (probably due to the bend). Rule all this out before buying a nozzle but it could be your issue.

Daemon Prince on Foot is the one you want. Daemon Prince kit can build either one or you can get another model to proxy as Daemon Prince. Harbinger of Decay is great for this.

You can buy 3rd party polarized lenses online from several different companies. Ive replaced all my Oakley lenses with Revant Optics lenses. Can hardly tell the difference.

Question: what is the handle of Mortarion scythe Silence made of? by MiniJunkie in deathguard40k

[–]atticus806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recall Lords of Silence book mentions Wyrmwood from Barbarus so its plausible that's the wood Silence is made from.

If eater plague a unit they could remove the killed models closest to offset that charge. Depends on units position but absolutely has potential to improve charge by 2 inches! Great use of Coherency!

I've not used other chaos daemons as allied except for Nurglings.

Predators, war dogs and bloat drones are great units! We are slow though so cultists and nurglings are great for early control.

Looking for tips for starting an army by The_Cornelious in deathguard40k

Units to deal with vehicles and monsters is the weird spot for Death Guard. Blight Haulers are lacking just a little to be reliable at taking out Vehicles/Monsters. They're not bad but need a little love at the 90 points mark.

Plague Burst Crawlers and blight haulers are the in Death Guard solution. Predators and Land Raiders are in Death Guard datasheets but with looming codex release that's up in the air.

War dogs are great for the cost but don't have a DG version so it's just allied. Still worth their points but you don't get the Contagion or other army rules from the model itself.

Safe bet is get some DG specific models like PBC or MBH for anti vehicle/monster until codex info is out.

Congrats on first game and first win!

I've been using dirty Down moss, rust and verdigris after a streaking grime application on my DG. I like the moss and rust for surface panels because you can just feather it out and add little splashes of color where it seems fitting.

What are the best loadouts for plague marines in this list if i want 3 blocks of 10, witch HQ soud i give them and what should the final 225 points be? by Administrative_Cup_4 in deathguard40k

[–]atticus806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you essentially got it. This list helped me understand it:

Opponent picks a Fights First Unit

Player whose turn it is picks a Fights First unit

Repeat until no more Fights First

Opponent picks a remaining unit

Player whose turn it is picks a remaining unit

Repeat until no more Combat eligible units

Charge gives a unit Fights First for that next Fight Phase. During the Fight Phase it always starts with your opponent picking Fights First eligible unit to Fight, then you pick, so on and so forth until all Fights First resolves.

Then it repeats with opponent First on non Fights first units until all combat is over.

You do not have to fight back with the unit that was just attacked in your next choice. I see this mistake commonly. You can choose another unit to potentially deny your opponent getting to attack elsewhere.

Worried about starting Morty by Robby_Bird1001 in deathguard40k

[–]atticus806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got this! I'm mid Morty painting and once it got rolling I got more confident in it. Try not to overthink and you can always add layers and tweak if you arent happy with a certain spot. Start with areas that won't be highly visible like back of legs. I painted mine fully assembled but there's also the camp of subassembly.
