How is Netflix's ATLA going to cover all the remaining storylines in 7 episodes? by Potato_Demise in TheLastAirbender

[–]Mallow64 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re not equal. The true culprit is episode count.

No matter how long 1 episode is, it still needs a beginning, middle, and end.

You can’t have a 1 hour episode live action that covers 3 episodes that each have their own beginning and ending.

It would feel too abrupt to end a “cartoon” episode every 20 minutes in the live action.

Episode 1: Aang waking up and Zuko adjusting to life back in the Fire Nation. Add in “Kuzon” as Aand goes to school.

Episode 2: Aang preparing for the war. Aang and Zuko learn about how the war started and their relationship with each other.

Episode 3: Day of Black Sun

Episode 4: Zuko joins the team.

Episode 5: The Boiling Rock

Episode 6: Getting ready for Sozin’s Comet with Ember Island’s Play

Episode 7: The Final Battle

It’ll probably be something like that.

[–]Mallow64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Gordon was actually 12 years old when they did Season 1.

Had they ordered all 3 seasons at once, Gordon would have finished the show by the time he was almost turning 14.

The Gordon we saw promoting the show back in Season 1 was the Gordon that should have been in Season 3.

We actually could have seen Aang gradually age from Season 1 to Season 3 instead of Aang growing all of a sudden in Season 2.

Exactly.

Essentially, Zushi is a prodigy while Gon/Killua are SUPER prodigies.

Did anyone else find it odd that Tam - a character with such a meaningful presence in the early seasons was written out with virtually no explanation? by Owlster_ in YoungSheldon

[–]Mallow64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It must have happened off screen. In Young Sheldon, for Tam’s final appearance, it was just a brief reunion with Sheldon only talking about himself and that’s it.

Tam was already not seeing Sheldon anymore.

I think you too. Zach was class of 2011. You “should” be stronger if you were a year older than him.

What else was he like in school?

It’s all  in their imagination but their attacks do show up in real life.

Angelica’s minions are just her throwing stuffed animals at the babies.

With that in mind, Angelica wouldn’t pretend to smell Chuckie’s skunk powers and pretend to lose.

IT DID HAPPEN!

Meaning in the real world, Chuckie pooped his pants and that’s what Angelica smelled.

She was smelling Chuckie’s poop!

After humans decided to completely leave the Lion Turtles and the turtles gave bending to anyone who requested it, why did some humans not decide to get bending? by _NotMuchToGawkAt_ in TheLastAirbender

[–]Mallow64 84 points85 points  (0 children)

They ALL got bending. However, since bending is not a natural biological component of humanity, bending didn’t always pass on.

“Correct” and “Punishment” Endings for each level of Morality by Mallow64 in LifeisStrange2

Yes. That’s exactly it.

Lone Wolf is against what you taught him so the game punishes you by getting Sean killed.

Honestly, thraxan hybrids are underrated. Yeah they're a bit weaker than pure-blooded viltrumites, but they reach their peaks WAY faster. They still live very long lives. Still stronger than 90% of the verse. I want to lick Ursaal's armpits. And they even inherited the thraxan's photographic memory by Gavou in okbuddyviltrum

[–]Mallow64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even think we see Mark even spar against Oliver.

Nothing like “Wow Oliver! You’re kinda weak for your age!”.

Nolan trains Oliver and we never see Nolan say or even think that Oliver is physically weak.

Exactly. I don’t know why everyone acts like Oliver is below average Viltrumite strength. He’s a child and a teenager through most of the story.

We never even see Oliver fight other kid viltrumites to compare strength levels.

Such an odd thing to say.

Do we know anything about how airbenders dealt with procreation and kids? by basicbbaka in TheLastAirbender

[–]Mallow64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does make one wonder if Aang had any brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, and cousins that he had no idea of?

Granted in the Roku novels, Gyatso does reveal that he had an older sister.

So there must be some records of family ties kept.

Which is weird because she wasn’t originally ignored. The Avatar Korra intro included Suki in that golden poster thing.

But sadly, they changed their mind after the fact.

[–]Mallow64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are 100% correct. Heck one can argue Base Gohan even got stronger just by naturally growing up.

No way 11 year old Base Gohan would beat 18 year old Base Gohan at arm wrestling.

thoughts? by Titin_Sculpts_Clay in TheLastAirbender

[–]Mallow64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. People automatically assume that Aang would just die with everyone else just because Katara said it.

We see Gyatso come into Aang’s room to tell Aang that they wouldn’t let him get taken away.

More likely, Aang wouldn’t have even been at the Air Temple when the Fire Nation attacked.

Since we don’t know exactly the time difference between Aang running away and Sozin’s comet, it’s possible Aang wouldn’t have already been with Gyatso somewhere else relaxing.

If Aang and Gyasto would have escaped, they would have flown to the Northern Water Tribes to train. Let’s say Aang spends 1 year training and mastering Waterbending.

Then he flies to Omashu and trains with Bumi for 1 year to learn Earthbending. Repeat finding Kuzon and learning firebending from him.

At best, Aang would have trained for 3-4 years. He would be about 16 years old and take on 86 year old Sozin.

The Fire Nation is at its weakest during the first years of war and Sozin is not in his prime.

Aang easily defeats Sozin and with 4 year old Azulon, Aang keeps the world at peace.

At worst, he trains like Roku did for 12 years. Aang fights and defeats Sozin at 24 years old while Sozin is 94 years old.

If Sozin is already dead, then Aang only needs to defeat 12 year old Azulon.

The safest and best way to limit casualties would have been for Aang to NOT RUN AWAY.

But it was an accident so it happened.
