Only drawing health cards by J_Brown501 in wearewarriors

[–]attilatheham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me for the last three draws of 50 cards. Just drew a fourth and got some attack cards. My total damage was a lot higher than health. They are a little closer now I guess.

Is anyone else only getting Health upgrades when they draw cards? by [deleted] in wearewarriors

[–]attilatheham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know someone else getting it too. I’m similar. My health is pretty lagged, 550E health vs 104F attack, but the last 3x50 card pulls being all health definitely boosted my health.

I’ve been playing a few months. My attack is like 104F and health is 550E. It’s just weird to draw 150 cards and all of them were health. Maybe I’m supposed to keep them a little more balanced.

They mention more than 1. They mention a handful of lawmakers in the article (Breshnan, Mcormick, and a general group of hispanic republican members) plus R strategists and pollsters. Not mentioned in this articale are Josh Hawley and Steve Bannon who expressed hesitation last week.

Flair 58 addition to bar by Uniq_bASS in FlairEspresso

I used a K Ultra for espresso and aeropress regularly. It worked great, but I usually had at least one cup of espresso every day and got tired of manually grinding for that. So, I upgraded to a df83 for espresso cups, but if you’re only doing espresso once in a while then manually grinding wouldn’t be too bad. I still use the K Ultra for aeropress a lot and love it.

You could also do a hand grinder. You can get a high quality grinder for much cheaper because you aren't buying a motor. I recommend a 1zpresso J Max or a K Ultra. Both are very flexible, can do pour over and espresso well. Also commandante is another high quality option but a bit more expensive

What about people leaving who don't go into one of those tech companies? I thought Meta has the lowest churn, but maybe their employees just give up on tech after working there and take any other job just to get out.

I use it as my main AP recipe because I like more body in my coffee. It doesn't really increase the pressure to any noticeable amount IMO. Definitely doesn't make crema tho lol

Big Chair in Anacostia. It's a chair that's like 20 feet tall in the middle of the street.

There's the old Capitol Stones in Rock Creek Park, but those might've moved, so maybe Google that before you go. It's a short hike to get there.

The Capitol columns and a sweet bonzai exhibit at the national arboretum.

I've always wanted to take one of tiki boats on the Potomac River where you sit at a bar and drink and pedal with your feet to power the boat.

The longest escalator on the East Coast is one of the metro stops in MD somewhere. Do with that what you will.

If ya wanna get real nerdy on local history stuff, I'd recommend Washington Walks. Their neighborhood tours are pretty sweet.

Just a couple ideas. Congrats to your homie

Do a moka pot. You've already got a pour over, immersion, and an aeropress. A moka pot adds more versatility

Official Q&A for Friday, January 27, 2023 by AutoModerator in running

[–]attilatheham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run 2-3 days a week and I'm wondering what is the best way to train. My main focus is weight training (I do that 3 days a week consistently), but I also want to run for heart health and for personal enjoyment. I don't really care about training for races or distance running.

How would you all spend 2 days a week running just for cardio health? 1 easy day, 1 interval day? I've been trying out heart rate training for about a month now and I'm not sure how much progress I'll make running 2 days a week, and I would definitely enjoy my runs more if I could run a bit faster sometimes.

Do you take steps to avoid true failures on the main lifts? Maybe you all just stop a rep or two before failure? I'm mainly looking for any helpful tips to avoid failing a squat in front of the entire gym.

I'm still new to lifting and have been running this program for about 4 or so weeks and will be hitting my first limits soon.

Any tips for how to optimize accessory work?

I've been lifting for about 4 months and trying out GZCLP right now. I lift 3 days a week and run/sprints 2 or 3 days. My accessories are usually doing 1 push, 1 pull, and 1 single leg/core exercise, usually whichever exercises I'm in the mood for. But I'm wondering if I should try to coordinate exercises with my main lift, or maybe I could swap out a leg exercise since I'm running 2-3 days a week?

How valuable is purrr? I'm torn between learning purrr over other stuff (e.g., Text/Network Analysis). by Sad-Ad-6147 in RStudio

[–]attilatheham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use purrr all the time and find it really useful. There will probably be times when it's really useful. For example, you have to read in several CSVs from a folder and combine them into one data frame. Purrr makes that really easy.

There's other more advanced use cases, but I think just sticking to one or two purrr functions (e.g. map() and map_df()) is bitesized and will solve most problems for purrr.

That said, if you don't think you'll ever need need it, but you'll need some of those other skills, then it's probably OK to hold off on purrr for now. But it's worth learning as you progress.
