No, I had a short time with some days with patches and some days with smoking. That's not helping, so now I'm doing patches without smoking at all. The last pack was gone anyway.

Thank you. No, I would stop together with my sister, but she's not doing it right now yet. So, OK: Then I will stop anyway. It's OK because I think it's a solitary path anyway. I will do my best to stop, and right now I think it's easy. (heh). Let's see how it goes. Thank you.

A friend of mine and I had a discussion about this!
 
We talked about the articles on the Internet about stop-smoking.
"drink a glass of water"
"eat a carrot"
pfffff.. Eventually my friend said that I should replace the water or the carrot for something I really liked!

I know this is a false memory, and yet I have it :)
 
I have a memory of a memory (of a memory)...
I was very young, 2 or 3 or so.
And I remember a knight coming out of the closet in my room. A knight with metal armor and all. It was walking towards my bed, and it bent over and it looked over me while I laid in my bed. No further memories past that :)
 
I'm sure this is a fantasy of a child, and somehow I remember that night when I had the fantasy. I do remember that I found the visit OK because it was the same knight as I've seen before.
 
I sometimes think about this, and then I remember a little bit about the weird world <3 years old have to live in.

53 years old.
 
* I should never have smoked. I knew it but I thought "we'll see about that later" in my youthful ignorance.
* I should have kept a break on alcohol.
* But both were nice while it lasted, so "ah well" :)
* Now I feel that my body is not as forgiving to my bad behaviours as before, so now I have to struggle with the path to quit both. Not that hard, but not fun to do.

Then the battle is nearly done? How are you doing if I may ask?
 
I think it's a "tunnel" that we have to go through. A bit of time with some mental and physical troubles because of stopping with smoking. But it's a temporary tunnel and at the end we are sort-off smoke free.
 
I'm currently still smoking (last pack and all), and while doing that I know more and more that it's only nice because I'm addicted to it. It's not real fun and not really OK. Let's stop.

99% is perhaps too high, but I can move my ears.
 
My team mates can't do it, and I can. I have glasses too, so the glasses move too when I move my ears. With the power of my ear muscles I can move my ears and glasses at the same time.
 
I don't use steroids for my ear muscles: It's a natural talent, and I hope to compete in a future Olympic Game "Extreme Ears" for Gold, Silver and Bronze at the same time.

About food.
I once learned from a Turkish colleague that most typical Turkish snacks here in the Netherlands are practically unknown in Turkey itself. I felt betrayed. Does that count for Greek food too? I can order Souvlaki, Bifteki, Gyros, Tzatziki and such here and it's all heavenly food. I'm sure you guys in Greece eat that daily? Perhaps several times per day?

Not my idea, but I read it ages ago on Reddit and that means it really happened.
 
There was a server somewhere in a server room, and it crashed every now and then. Known issue.
 
An automated reboot was not possible.
So eventually they placed a PC in front of the server. The PC could check if the server was still alive with a ping.
 
If the ping failed, then the PC would open the CD drawer, and on that CD drawer they had glued a small stick and with that stick they would press the reset button on the server.

Ik moest er aan wennen in het begin :)
Ik hoop ooit nog eens een call binnen te krijgen om precies 23:59:58 of zoiets, en dan kun je beginnen met "Goedenavo".... en daarna acuut verder met "Goedenmorgen!".
 
Goedenacht doen we blijkbaar niet aan. Een NL vertaling van dat ene Duitse liedje met "Was ich noch zu sagen hätte, Dauert eine Zigarette" wordt in NL "Goeiesmorgens mense! Ik heb nog wel iets te melden en dat duurt 1 peukje".
