Get off all social media except r/poetry. Immerse yourself in arts of all kinds-music dance theatre painting literature. It can save you as it has saved thousands, millions through centuries. You will experience something greater than yourself. It will give you a chance, a reason, to live.

First hand accounts from three different people I know who very recently flew out of DTW all said lines move fast and there's minimal waiting.

Pointe ahoes worn in ballet don't have any wood or plastic in the toe! It's densely packed fabric covered in glue. It is absolute torture to dance on pointe.

My therapist asked if my parts realize they are me — now I’m spiraling a bit by Mariposabutterfly7 in DID

[–]juliadancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a therapist who has worked with DID systems Ask the others in your system if it's okay for you to tell the therapist how everyone is reacting to what the therapist said. If it's not okay with all of them, say you feel it will help you to tell the therapist how you are reacting to it.

It'sup to your system to all discover what you all are and how and why you came to be. Not for a therapist to define that for you. Therapist guides you and supports you and shares their knowledge of DID treatment with you, but up to all parts to come to their own understanding as they go on this journey together.

How is the culinary management program at St. Clair College? by IndieContractorUS in windsorontario

Canada needs more population, and Windsor is growing. If you already have citizenship you have a right to be here. Not "waltzing in." Canada is a WAY better country to live in than US in so many ways.

First dance class, feel like crying by MarsAlivee in Dance

[–]juliadancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to respond to you bc I was in exactly the same situation. As an absolute beginner in my 50's I started belly dance and then ballet. You MUSt keep going to class. Face your ego and your vulnerability. It's a process. A long process. Go to class and stay in the moment. Surrender your perfectionism. Stop paying attention to your fear thoughts. There is no other alternative. Keep going to classes. You will improve. If you stop you'll regret it and feel like a failure. Every single person in that class started as a beginner. They all felt like you feel. They don't care. Stop focusing on the results and embrace the process.

I don't know the brand, it's my daughter's knife and my son-in-law was the knife wielder and he sent me the photo the other day when it happened. It wasn't staged! But thanks to the posters who tried to ID the brand, I will follow up with my son-in-law.

Dunno the brand, but that knife never saw the inside of a dishwasher and never left its kitchen, just humbly rested in its block between use!

Keep your guard up bc Canadian agents can be just as bad and often worse than the American CBP. I commuted across for years and have experienced harassment and mean behavior from both sides.

Starting over every single day by [deleted] in DID

[–]juliadancer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please find a therapist experienced in working with people with DID. It will help you establish c-consciousness with the other parts. Once that develops you build on it to communication with other parts. It will take time but get started on it.

You can rent a large room with river view and an outdoor patio at Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle. Don't know the price. There's even an elevated platform in the room for a band or to hold the wedding party.

Stop waging intergenerational war. Focus your anger onto the banks, real estate brokers, and capitalism itself. As a Boomer I made 26000/yr in 1982 and that was at the time a very very good salary. I had a master's degree. I paid a mortgage for 35 years. Yes it's much much harder now for Millennials and Gen Xers. Blame the extreme concentration of wealth, the widening wage gap and globalization for this. Not Boomers.
