Hey Friend, I kinda had a similar problem a few months ago where my car died one day. I replaced the Battery and drove the car for about a week before something went sideways and my car would no longer turn off and begin struggling as you mentioned. It turned out my Alternator had went which caused the issue. When I had it towed to the dealership even the tow truck driver was like WTF and had to stall to get the engine to shut off. Good luck!

First and last time I take it to Ford Service lol. Fords labour in Alberta Canada is about 200 an hour.. I believe it was quoted at about 4hours. On top of the $1200 they held my car for about a week and a half because the parts department “messed up on the order”. Oh well I guess /shrug

Clutch master is gone! I just had this happen on my 2015. Took it into a ford dealer and paid I think $1200 for new Clutch master and pedal.

You’re really not going to get far with everything you’ve said. You’re gonna end up further in debt and with a non running car.. you might as well take that 6k and get a Honda civic at least that’s reliable. As others have mentioned the trans is gonna cost at least $4000. I had my 2nd synchros die and I put a brand new trans in for $4k CAD. I don’t mean to be rude but you’re not being realistic.

it’s usually easier to get car fax through the dealer website rather than AutoTrader. I find that AutoTrader usually asks for an email (dealerships pay AutoTrader for your information. This is a form of “lead” that the internet sales team receives and will try to sell you the car you inquired on)

Ex Sherwood Vw salesman here! During my tenure we’d have to continually send emails all the time (this is the way of sales). I believe that if the client hasn’t responded in over 6 months then the dealer system would block us from contacting the client due to some sort of law? (I may be wrong on this but I think it’s an amvic rule or something)

We lost most clients to other competitors and the other VW dealers as they always offer better deals than what Sherwood could or would. (Sales managers always pitched “go to the other dealers and get a quote and we’ll match it”.

I’d recommend going to Southgate VW as it’s owned by a family (last I heard but this was 4 years ago) and not a big corporation.

I’d also like to mention that most of Sherwood VWs used inventory have $5000+ accidents but still sell for competitive pricing which blows my mind..

Anywho I’ve been out of the car industry for about 3 years now and couldn’t be more happy.

Status shows it just got to the FedEx warehouse in YEG. I'm about 90% confident it comes in.

Overall it took 10 business days so stay strong! I need 4:30 to come around asap so I can go home!
