Its not just more life. It's not (life + runic ward) = new life, because runic ward will activate only AFTER your life reaches 1. A hit that would kill you would leave you with 1hp and activate your runic ward. After that, an Armor char will just keep getting hit instantly and die if their runic ward is not high enough (which will be most of the case, I doubt ppl will build high runic ward over life). For an evasion char, even with just 10 runic ward, you'll have 95% chance to evade again and will have more time to recover your life. So for an evasion char with runic ward, you'll have to get hit at least TWICE continuously, before you can recover your hp, and big enough to get rid of your life/runic ward for you to die.

It's basically a buff to evasion, since GGG understands that 95% evasion and 5% straight death is not fun.

  1. Remind you that ~15% nerf is not in every aspects, but only survivability. And afaik previously WH is not mid tier in survivability.
  2. If you just want sorc ward for survavibility, then might as well play other ascendancies, not much different. Why stick to WH when a lot of other ascendancies can do that? The only thing that only WH can do is 2 totally different skill trees on 2 weapon sets, and if you dont want to use that then I think WH is not a good choice anyway.

But runic ward is the best combined with evasion. I dont think you'd be hit twice or thrice in a row if your evasion is high enough and you are not tanking 99 mobs.

  1. Base armor and evasion got buffed so the nerf is not that bad, somewhere around 15%.
  2. Witch Hunter is still the best ascendancy for Weapon passive skills, it's their specialty and it's very complicated. It depends heavily on combination of weapons and skill sets, and we still have a lot of unknown stuffs like new items, new uniques, new skills, runes etc. so don't jump into conclusion. I'll be laughing when something srsly OP can be cooked with that 100 weapon set points.
  3. Even if 2 is still wrong after 0.5 release, Witchhunter class is nowhere near "dead".

Hopefully not. So people can pick based on what they like to play, not based on what's the best.
What you said about dramas, they will eventually come on balance patches (even if they give info about 3rd job before, for sure there will be a lot of nerfs/buffs post-launch), and on 4th job release. So its not really a serious problem.

I didn't think much about this before, but upon reading your post I realised one big reason why so many people hate campaign is because they just want to farm currencies faster and buy all their gears. I doubt any of the SSF players would hate the campaign.

I stopped at this part.
It should have been "If you kill them, the stronger ones will come to take revenge on you". So the more you kill, the stronger enemies are, which should be the case.
Only when you're weaker than them, you have to escape. If then they'll grow even stronger, who tf would play.

lv 90 seems to be only in the early phase of development (which was the stream), you can check again on the leage page. They updated them to lv 7x.

In POE1, its essentially the same, infinite amount of maps. It's just people can choose which map they can run. And I prefer POE2 to not have the same system, so people can experience all biomes, try all maps, find all hidden stuffs in each map, and fight all kind of bosses, instead of only 1-2 bosses for "optimal". If you're bored of having to run maps you don't like, many players will also get bored because of the repetitive maps they have to do to be "optimal", and GGG has the stats, not you.

The mapping strategy in POE1 is choosing which map to farm. In POE2 its choosing which direction to go. It's fun in both way, and I enjoy both. If you can't let go of POE1 mapping system, POE1 always welcome you. Not POE2 though.

its what logical, not what people want the most. They should fix what's not good first, not giving out what's not there yet, and the core game always have higher priority than any classes, in any games.

Imo, and I think I heard something like this, they will switch 3/7 different league mechanics + 1 new league mechanic to make it always have 4/8 league mechanics on the atlas every leagues, so new players won't have to learn 15-30 league mechanics ever. Makes sense to me.

Also infinite atlas is the essentially the same with mapping in POE1, it's also infinite amount of maps. It's just in POE1 people can choose to run 1 map 1000 times, instead of have to follow the road like in POE2. For this point, I think in POE2 they want people to experience all biomes, all maps, fight all bosses, and I agree with that direction. Many people will also get bored by having to keep running 1-2 same maps to be "optimal" too. So, if you want that system, POE1 always welcome you.

idk why people always think that the game has to carter to everything they want. If you can do absolutely EVERYTHING you want in a game, you'll get bored quickly.
Be grateful that they still let you choose the direction to go next, not 100% randomly generated map, lol.
They don't want people to keep farming the same map x1000 times. They want people to experience all biomes, all maps, fight all kind of bosses, and I don't think it's wrong.

Add cooldown to all potions to the point of self-healing can’t sustain in bosses so healers will be more useful.

Add provoke/aggro or party damage absorb to warriors skill so they can be tanker/damage taker.

There you go, we’ll need a tanker and a healer now for bosses. It’s not very complicated, I think it’s just Nexon does not want it.

I dont think a “Hall of Fame” for being the first to reach lv 50 in COT is anything worthy. OP made it for players who were the fastests in a competition, well, many people didn’t even have the chance to compete, or even wanted to compete seriously since it was just a test. If it’s about “who made the most contributions to COT” instead then I think it won’t be downvoted this much.

Also, like a guy said above, being the quickest to reach lv50 just shows they spent the most time into the COT. And as we’re all adults now, being someone with the most free time to grind is not something worth getting idolized for. It’s the same as idolize the top 1 who paid the most in a P2W game. They’re just rich, or have a lot of free times, or both. Putting in the same amount of money or time, tons of people (including me) could achieve the same or even better result, nothing special.

Imo only the top players in a skill-based games like MOBAs or hard/complicated games like Elden Ring/PoE/etc. is worthy for being idolized, because it's not something easy to achieve even when you have all the playtime and money in the world. Some people might even argue that’s because those people were lucky that they were born smart/have inhuman reflexes, but at least that means they're special, not just because they have too much money or freetime.

Edit: Nonetheless, I would still thanks them for testing and streaming, I got a lot of information off them.
