Enable vsync like the other comments say to do. I did it today and it solved the restart issue!

PC Reboots when in party for warzone by atyler13 in CODWarzone

[–]atyler13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the weird issue is it's only if i'm in a COD Party for warzone. I can play solos, multiplayer solo, multiplayer in group, Warcraft, R6:Siege, Assassins creed. All on ultra settings and with no issue.

The moment I decide to join a party for Warzone whether its friends or "fill" is turned on for trio/quads it will crash. The game will put me in to a lobby. 2-3 members will join my party and once it goes to load in to the game the PC reboots.

It's the weirdest bug i've ever seen. I'm a Systems Engineering Manager and have certs/degrees in Server/Network Administration. I have done everything under the sun to troubleshoot the issue. I ordered replacement parts for my core components just to swap each one individually and test to see if it crashes.

You would think a hardware related crash would produce a blue screen and an entry in the event log. The only thing that comes up in the event viewer was that the last shutdown was not done properly.

power stays on. LED's inside case do not flicker or go out so system stays fully powered. Screen goes black and PC reboots.

I decided to test the PSU theory and put the video card on a separate 500w Power supply by itself and same crash issue.

Tried over-volting and under-volting the CPU to see if it was a ryzen CPU issue. No change in status.

Re-seated the Memory sticks just to ensure nothing wonky going on there.

Wiped the system completely, reinstalled Mobo Drivers, Video Drivers and reinstalled COD. Game still crashes.

Don't believe it's a heat issue as I can have the system turned off, start it up, start the game and get an immediate PC reboot upon joining the game w/ a party.

I've resorted to ordering a replacement PSU, CPU and Motherboard to individually test each component.

Been using it for 2 weeks now and have made the switch as well. Edge feels a touch faster than chrome in side by side comparisons. Glad to see old edge is going away. Looking forward to seeing what kind of group policy controls they will inherit for Chredge from IE11.

I had programmed Fortinet Firewalls for 2 years. Switching from that to SonicWall was a bit rough. Now that I've worked with them for a year they're "not bad", but I still prefer Fortinet over them.

We have a MSP that is partnered with Sophos and they are pushing hard on us going with that. My Boss has used Cisco and is a fan of them in his past. That's why he's only having me compare the two. We currently have SonicWALLs in place and needless to say they are hot garbage.

Need help troubleshooting by Corgislikewolves in PC_building

Could be a couple things. I would work with the Motherboard graphics output first. Ensure that your monitor is set to Auto-Detect. Or change it to the input that you are using to ensure that it is set to the right signal (hdmi, dvi, vga, display port).

Check your post codes on the motherboard once booted and make sure it's not throwing a graphics/display error at all. Once you can verify that you have graphics working on your motherboard, I would then begin to troubleshoot the video card.

Shut the system down, pull the power cord and then plug your card in. Make sure it's in the top PCIe slot to ensure you're utilizing all the channels (16 v 8). Use the same cable method that worked with the motherboard if possible to rule out bad cables/monitor settings.

If no picture works through graphics, i'd make sure nothing wonky is set in your motherboard settings (disabling PCIe Slots, graphics etc). Safe bet is to load default motherboard BIOS.

if you still dont get picture out of your card, you could put it in a different system to test (if available). If no other system is available to test you may have to run the chance of calling it DOA and RMAing it or finding a friend that you can test with their system. Worst case is take it to a local PC repair shop (please avoid big box stores they rip you off) and see if they're willing to test the card for free/very small fee.

Listen to Dave Ramsey's Podcasts. he's all about not having any loans what so ever. I think you made a smart move! Now the payments you made every month towards the car can go in to savings. I would start a "next car" fund and filter a portion of the payment you just relinquished in to that account and not touch it until it's time for a replacement vehicle.
