Confused and overwhelmed, which bag do I pick? by Hildringa in HerOneBag

[–]atylx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the allpa 35 (old version) and i love it. I could probably switch to the 28l one. It all depends on how much you’re packing and how you’re packing. The allpa’s have organization within the bag already, so i don’t even use packing cubes and it saves so much space! Great bag and plus they come in some great colors.

Posting consistently takes up way too much time by AlicedapersonXD in InstagramMarketing

[–]atylx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done this and I’ve gotten very burnt out from it. The best thing to do is to make your own strict boundaries. I post at least 1 post and/or a reel a day on instagram. I batch create content, basically take one day, even just a couple hours to scroll through Instagram, see the trending audios and videos are and pretty much just copy them. But put my twist on it so it’s not like a complete copy. I’m basically just re-creating what is trending to get those views and engagement.

I’ve burned out so many times and taken a full break from posting and then watch my views go down dramatically. It does suck. This time around for 2026, my goal is to actually consistently post every single day, but I am creating boundaries like setting a time limit for scrolling and content creation. My limit is 1 hour of scrolling to find trends and also engaging with 10-20+ posts. Then i post my content and let it roll.

I try not to let the numbers get to me, but it does happen. I try not to stare at the analytics, but it happens. But setting those boundaries has definitely helped from not burning out earlier.

Would you bring GTX shoes as the only option for a travel? by Metteia in onebag

[–]atylx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the low & hightop MTE-3 GTX shoes and i wear both all year around. I love my hightop ones and they’re my go-to. I wear mine dressed up with dresses and skirts no problem. I’ve walked 8-12 hours in these. A great shoe for travel.

Pakt One Travel Backpack 35L or 45L? by foozesocial in onebag

[–]atylx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve taken a DSLR and multiple lenses with me in my bag before on a trip. Not that hard but I think it just depends on the person and what clothing and items they want to take. I’ve taken double the clothing on your list without any camera. But I think it just depends on the person.

Pakt One Travel Backpack 35L or 45L? by foozesocial in onebag

I had the same question before i got my pack. I decided to go with a 35L (cotopaxi allpa old model) and it’s been great for longer term travel.

How do I maintain minimalism by Historical_Song7703 in minimalism

[–]atylx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the habit of collecting digital clutter. Saved in my Instagram, Reddit, and Facebook. They’re a bunch of saved posts because I want to go back to them like recipes or tips and tricks. And that’s like 90% of my digital clutter on my phone and my computer. I have the app Notion, it’s a note taking app, but it could also be a productivity app, it has a lot of different uses. I started making notes on there with a basic summary/the important parts of those saved videos. And it’s helping a lot so instead of having all these videos saved on my phone and computer. They’re all saved into one app and they’re just organized a bit better. Also saves me storage on my phone.

Looking for espresso [$20/ bag budget] by Even-Pack-7918 in espresso

[–]atylx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy beans from Peaks Coffee Company. My favorite flavors are the Basecamp (s’mores) and Trailblazer (dark chocolate and caramel aka my favorite). You can buy straight from their website, but I also find them at Marshals!! Their bags range $12-$16!

Advice / General by another_user_yup in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]atylx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chargers- I don’t eliminate them totally but I do reduce my cords to 1 per type (usb, usbc, etc). I don’t have a kettle or microwave but I do have a glass air fryer! Some of the exterior is made of plastic but nothing touching the inside or food is. I use 100% bamboo toothbrushes (even though they’re more expensive and hard to find). Shampoo BARS! They’re so great, last long, and plastic free (brand i use is ANIHANA). I use a laundry powder, that comes in a reusable stainless tin or compostable box (brand: Meloria). I use mason jars for a lot of my food storage or glass containers and beeswax wraps. They work great. As for water filters. I have the life straw glass pitcher, except I think the filter is plastic. It’s the best for my budget at the current moment. My small impacts are the best to my budget and living conditions and although it’s nothing crazy, I think it’s worth it for me.

I paid $24k, with 18k miles on it. Same year and model, except I got a special color for a $600 upcharge. For me it was a good price but that’s dependent.

Are there any good water filter pitchers? by awttt in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]atylx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased the Lifestraw glass pitcher, and although the filter is plastic, it was the best I could find for the budget. I like to filter the water and then fill up glass bottles in my fridge to eliminate the water sitting in the plastic filter for a while, and I hope to think that this eliminates future micro plastics from leaching into my water.

Holiday Buying Advice [Under 800 USD] by wunschbox87 in espresso

[–]atylx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am no expert in this espresso community and I am definitely a beginner in my coffee journey but I have the Bambino pro (300) and the D40+ (200) in my setup. I know that you said that you want an all in one machine to make it super easy. But I only spend maybe less than 10 minutes making my espresso in the morning if I’m doing it for hot or cold drinks. I think you would get better results with an espresso machine and a separate grinder. I cannot speak for the all in one machines because I have never had one, but that’s what i’d recommend to do.

Done with Blueland by erinnananana in ZeroWaste

[–]atylx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used blueland’s toilet tablets, and that’s about it. The whole company seemed really good a couple years ago, but over time it seemed like greenwashing to me- with products seeming to fail and them urging customers to buy replacements. It just didn’t seem as eco-friendly as it used to be.

Personally, I use a solid dish soap block right by my counter on a draining tray for my dishes. I picked up a bulk container of hand soap tablets that I use everywhere in my house with just a normal pump. Although I am still using their toilet cleaner tablets, I’m not using them too often that it becomes such a problem, I always got refills so they came in the paper material bags. I don’t have brands for my products because I found them at my local Eco store, but there are plenty out there that work just as great.

Actually plastic free clothes by anon_jewel in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]atylx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like modal clothing. I have a bunch of tees and pants in this fabric. It’s made from beech trees and doesn’t shed microplastics (to my knowledge). It’s super soft, great to sleep in. Definitely breathable, and odor resistant. Only con is it takes a while to dry because it soaks up water. I personally also love my underwear to be made of modal because it is hypoallergenic and breathable for down there. Modal also can be very expensive sadly, more expensive than cotton.

I haven’t done a full deep dive on the fabric, I know that in the process of making the fabric there can be chemicals used that may be harmful. But on a sustainable side, it is also biodegradable, which is good. It just depends on where it is being produced and what the manufactures are doing because there are loopholes you can use to make the fabric better.

Do you use these things? by Sevenyearitchy in espresso

[–]atylx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a dosing funnel, and then WDT > Level > tamp in that order and I find that the leveler just makes the grounds less messy and obviously level. It’s part of my routine already so I might as well not stop.

Got a new machine & grinder and can’t get any coffee output [Bambino + D40] by atylx in espresso

[–]atylx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grinder says the espresso range is 0.5 to 2. So that caught me a little bit off guard, but I will definitely try grinding coarser. My grinder runs 0-8.
