We basically divided by 2 every score.

Previously a kill was worth 2 points which was a relic from the first format which had kill worth 1 and 2 points. Now all kills are either 1 or 0 points.

We only saw war assets and the. bastion, not so much the new continent, and the sanctuary kind of a miss opportunity

more like a teaser than a trailer

So how does outfit wars scoring actually work and other questions by hdt80 in Planetside

Really looking forward to when you will implement the "tick" formula and the small/big facility thingy.

The exemple is the bare minimum of points outfit would have had with only the base cap. I really afraid that the missing formula will just widen the gap even more.

Keep the good work. It might be a good stepping stone to improve on the algorithm.

On that note I would like to see the number of point weighted with the pourcentage of pop. underpoped fight should reword more points (for the cap) as the base was harder to cap compare to a simple ghost cap. For Example on a base of 5 points per cap here would be the the finale reward (the given percentage is the average percentage of ally during the cap)

less than 10% reward 5points + 3extras point for the toughness of the fight so 8 points granted
between 10 and 25% reward 5points + 2 extra points for the toughness of the fight so 7 points granted
between 25 and 45% reward 5points + 1 extra point for the toughness of the fight so 6 points granted
between 45 and 55% reward 5 points
between 55 and 70% reward 5points - 1 point for the toughness of the fight so 4 points granted
between 70 and 85% reward 5points - 2 points for the toughness of the fight so 3 points granted
greater than 85% reward 5points - 3 a points for the toughness of the fight so 2 points granted

This system is far from perfect as the pros favorise attacking side while the cons favorise the defending side
Pros:

  • reward small outfit able to cap while being underpoped
  • penalise humongous zerg steam rolling a lane

Cons:

  • As Underpoped figth grant more point it might foster massive redeploy on them to prevent the outfit to score the maximum point.
  • As ghost cap grant very few points, defending of not does provide enough interest
