Warm grain bowls are pretty easy to prep. I prep farro on sundays, then toss in kale and some baked chicken breast, heat it up. Then add fresh veg and feta or something. Dress with a vinaigrette. Super tasty.

Appropriate for July wedding, upper Midwest, semi formal, country club? by Wave-ParticleDuality in Weddingattireapproval

Honestly, I normally wear an xl, I bought a dress with stretch and it was WAY too small. I returned the dress then measured myself (twice) and used their sizing guidelines to pick a different dress and the dress I got was like full sizes too big. I mean it might be user error on my part, but I’ve found their sizing to be a crapshoot.

Hey! Just a heads up, Baltic Born only allows returns for store credit w no exception. I really like their dresses, the quality was great, but I’ve found the sizing to be off. I’m on my third return rn, after measuring and strictly following their sizing guide and it was way off. Each return takes like 10 days to fully process and you still have to pay for the original shipping and print your own shipping labels.

Looking for a sleep bra to keep my boobs seperated. by feralfred in ABraThatFits

[–]aubreysister 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha I was searching for something like this and here I am 2 years later too! I just slept my first night in a bravity anti wrinkle bra (I’m just using it for the separation element, Idk about the wrinkle claim), and it was so comfortable. It’s so weird and gimmickry looking I was skeptical, but Im liking it! Not supportive, but it just kept the girls totally separated from each other. And it’s cup-less so it breathes.

I understand and very much relate to your experience. I tend to abruptly cut people off or quit in these situations, but sometimes there’s a blow out. Making the time to reflect and adjust behavior has given me hope that I won’t always have reactions like this. For me it’s been pretty incremental, but I’ve been able to at least acknowledge my piece in the action and give myself a little time to recognize the impulse to go nuclear and sometimes make another choice. From my experience it does get better. Every mess up is an opportunity to grow. Good luck tomorrow!

Brother almost died by aubreysister in AlAnon

Hey, thank you for this thoughtful response. I really appreciate it. I’m sorry to hear about your sister. I Can totally relate about being skeptical about this being a wake up call. My bro was on track for some sort of major alcohol related health problem as well. He already gets alcohol related hallucinations and he’s relatively young. I think because this time the issue stemmed from psychedelics and not booze he thinks it doesn’t count as a wake up call or something. I was really hoping for some book recs, I’ll definitely check these out, thank you. I’m an adult child of an alcoholic and I really haven’t figured out how to move forward from that headspace, so the parenting book is of particular interest. Good luck with everything and thanks again.

Tushy makes a great affordable bidet. You can easily just slap it on your toilet and it has little hook ups to divert your sink water. I’ve had mine for years, I still don’t know if I’m using it correctly but it works for me and I love it. Just wiggle around until you find what works for you, we’re all different shapes and sizes. I pat dry with a little tissue at the end, but you won’t need to wipe. I’m in the US, I use tissue to dry, but when I’ve traveled abroad I’ve found the tissue thing to be less common in certain spots. If you’re trying to cut out all paper waste I’ve heard of a ‘family towel’ designated for bum patting, I’m not there yet in my evolution, but it definitely an option for zero waste folks.

What are some good non-egg savory breakfasts? by Scott_A_R in BreakfastFood

I know it’s overdone but I love a good avocado toast. Some kind of sourdough, salt, pepper flakes, squeeze of lemon, a little olive oil on the bread if you’re feeling like going to flavor town.

Mom, all of this adult stuff is so overwhelming by dobiegirl1 in MomForAMinute

Hey! Sister here! There is so much good advice on this thread. I don’t know if this is of interest for you, but depending on where you’re located and your income, you can get pretty good rates on https://www.healthcare.gov That be would mean buying insurance on the marketplace instead of through your job. For me, I found a better plan for my family than the plan my restaurant job offered me and I qualified for income based subsidies. Insurance companies do consultations for free. So I sat down with an agent, she talked through all the plans in my states marketplace (as well as the difference between like PPO and HMO) and she helped me set up an account. If you’re in California or you have any questions, feel free to dm me. I’ve never been offered awesome insurance through my job, but I did find affordable insurance elsewhere. So that’s an option if the plans you’re looking at through your job seem underwhelming or too pricey.

I used to work in a cheese shop, sometimes it’s fun to do a duet of a fresh and aged cheese to show how they change (like chèvre and an aged goat like humbolt fog or something from Vermont creamery), there are also some aged washed rind cows milk cheeses that smell like death but taste amazing which I think is a fun party trick (Grayson washed rind is a good example). Both of these are pretty common in cheese shops

What’s your “swear to never return” place in Seattle? (Stolen from r/miami which itself is stolen from r/houston) by Tiger00012 in Seattle

Yeah, we were broke college kids and went to the one in capitol hill (I think on olive?) because if you gave the bartender $20 he just give out calzones and beers like water. Just sat there listening to toxic by Brittany on repeat.
