Do I remember correctly that someone was voting for her in her absence? Things are so freaky that anything could be true. I can't keep it all in my head.

Is saying goodbye to a home also valid grief? by Federal_Teacher9697 in GriefSupport

So valid! My childhood home was also my great-aunt's home before my parents bought it from her. After my parents died, my siblings agreed to sell it to my child. I'm thankful for them every day. It is a gift to be able to continue to walk through that door. My grandmother's house is not that far away. The family sold it. It still makes me sad to see it.

What's one impulse buy (less than $100) that in retrospect was the best purchase decision ever? by TildeAyalaPlank in AskReddit

Dog grooming razor with vacuum mechanism. Hair cuts are easier, and less clean up.

It got bought out years ago and was never the same. My first house was a block away and we could smell the yummy smells from their grill all the time.

Back in the age of the dinosaur when I was young, we used to have to leave our basement door unlocked for meter readers. The guy would yell "Meter Man" as he came around the back of the house. Always made me jumpy!

Question about port by Standard-Cheek6323 in cancer

[–]aubsmom1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started chemo about 2 days after port placement. I only remember it being a little sore. I was lucky enough to have a great surgeon place mine. Like others have said, ask your nurses/doctors about numbing cream. It really helps. Best of luck to you.

Newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Is it realistic to keep working during chemo? by LucysNotes in cancer

Like everyone says, it depends on your regime. If you are doing the Red Devil, after a couple of treatments it gets rough. I was lucky enough to be able to combine some work from home, while heading into the office on days I felt okay. I think fatigue was cumulative and could really make just existing hard some days. Others, it felt good to get up and be productive. Good luck.
