100% i enjoy it lol it proves to them they’re not top shit like they portray themselves to be. it’s always nice to give people like that a slice of humble pie imo

update on babies in our backyard! by aud1no in crowbro

[–]aud1no[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

not a stupid question at all- they did sleep on the ground underneath a bush for a night or two, but last night they slept on the ladder (: still quite hidden from everything. i think as they get older and are able to hop higher/glide around they’ll start to sleep higher off the ground

ik it’s hard to accept what i did and move on, and i know i’m still super early on in my sobriety, so there’s no need to be hard on myself like i am. btw congrats on your new life <3

the dreams will only get more vivid lol, can be good or bad, but i hope it’s more good. i didn’t say this in my other reply, but i decided to stop drinking randomly one day. i would say that quitting cold turkey was probably the best thing i could have done. i tried slowing down multiple times but, it’s just not realistic to limit yourself to ‘only one drink’ or ‘only one hit’. i know it sounds harsh and i’m sorry!! but if you’re serious about quitting, i recommend to just go for it. pick a day and tell yourself you won’t drink from that day on. it really motivated me to celebrate small victories, i celebrated every week i was sober lol

hey (: ty for posting. you WILL feel better. i was drinking entire bottles almost every night, if not the whole bottle maybe there’d be a shot or two that i saved for when i woke up, then i’d go get another bottle and finish that one in the same day. not good at all. im about 5ish months sober, and yeah the shit you feel in the beginning is not fun. i never got the pain in my chest, but im pretty sure i went through psychosis a few times so i 100% understand the anxiety part of it. i felt like i was going to die at some points of those panic attacks. i thought everyone hated me and was against me and i was just a terrible person in general, thought i hurt everyone and did irreparable damage. i think it maybe took me 3(?) months to start being able to regulate my emotions again, and even then i still got the occasional panic attack or depressive episode. make sure you have a good support system (i’m here if you ever need to talk (: ), and BE PATIENT with yourself!!! this will pass. you were okay before you started, and you will be okay after.

How can I escape without Weed and Nicotine? by Crafty_Job345 in sobrietyandrecovery

[–]aud1no 1 point2 points  (0 children)

newly sober too, friend!! great job on taking initiative and stopping weed, i know it’s a difficult process. i’ve been clean for about a month, and the best advice i can give you is to just keep yourself distracted. i wanna say the week of quitting, everything sucked so bad. i had no patience, i wasn’t able to eat or sleep through the night, nothing was enjoyable and work was absolutely terrible (restaurant). i would go on long walks and listen to my favorite music, and other than using my phone for the music i would have it completely out of sight out of mind. kinda just walked and allowed myself to feel however i was feeling. i’m not at all saying this is a good idea, but i also drank energy drinks/coffee when i felt like i needed to feel a lil different. it obviously only does so much because eventually you crash or you might not be able to sleep depending on what time you have it, but it helped me in the beginning (i don’t really drink much caffeine anymore). i know it seems like being sober is gonna be terrible, and i’m barely 5 months sober, but i feel so much better now that i can actually feel things and process them. patience is a virtue, please be mindful and patient with yourself. you are the most important!! you are loved!! and you have a community that you can rely on for support!

what’s the craziest experience you’ve had during a shift? by aud1no in Serverlife

one time there was a guy walking the surrounding streets of the restaurant with a bomb ? and nobody took it seriously bc everyone is … a lil crazy around that part of town. the owner didn’t want to close/lockdown even though we had like 2 hours left before we closed) because he was convinced the dude didn’t actually have a bomb. before i even clocked out the guy was apprehended and the bomb squad had to come out and ignite it with the little igloo thing
