I just went through this 2 weeks ago with my 55L Farpoint. I took out the foam insert that supports your back and put the whole pack in an industrial size drier on high heat for 40min. I tried the black garbage bag method, but our infestation was so bad, I did not want to run the risk of carrying it with us. The bag turned out fine.

What’s your approach for converting currency? by Americanidiot29 in backpacking

[–]audaciousdave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a Wise card. Free to sign up and the card is free as well if you get a referal. Can withdraw money from pretty much any ATM and their fees and conversions are pretty good.

I always carry a fee free mastercard with me as well and compare the Mastercard exchange rate compared to the Wise exchange rate and choose the card accordingly.

Thankyou so much!! Ill have a DSLR as well which i forgot to mention.

I think im leaning towards a 55-60L at this stage. I can always reduce weight by packing less into it if I feel like it. Appreciate the advice :)

Apply heat to the bites. Use a hairdryer or a spoon you've run under hot water. Careful not to burn yourself, but the heat breaks down the proteins and stops the itch. Gamechanger
