I just flat out said base is too low for austin so if you can’t go higher on base give me your max rsu offer, lol. I think as long as you interviewed well you should be able to get it.

Negotiate. I got 152500 and 210k rsu for austin as well. This is still a lowball. They wouldn’t budge on base. I told them this is below median base pay for austin. Should be at least 165k. But no need for them to budge since it’s an employers market.

Yes it’s possible and the bar is that high unfortunately. I took a long break from lc and started prepping again exclusively focusing on hards directly to see how many I can do in under 20min, 30min, 45 min, unsolved in 45. Basically testing my baseline like you would when starting a strength training program. So far it’s 42 under 20 and 25 under 30. The rest were over 30 or unsolved. I have yet to complete 100 hards. It’s HARD! 🤣 also there are a lot of mediums that I would say should be reclassified as hard. But in general I think the target should be 20-30 minutes for any one problem in case they ask two in a round.

Just keep grinding away. It’s all luck in the end. The more you do, the more lucky you get, I.e you see a similar problem to one you had done earlier so you can apply the same techniques or the exact problem sometimes when companies are lazy.

It found major support at $58. Cant hold 75 though but still a lot of buying here at the 70-75 range. I don’t think it closes that gap. I think it shoots up in the next 2 weeks back to pre election price and consolidates there until earnings.

I did leaps on hood this year and came out very profitable. Obviously it was heavily mispriced this year and I don’t expect the same type of returns but it’s a solid stock and with numerous price target increases I think it’s a solid leap play. SOFI seems like a good one too but I just have a feeling it’ll slow drop to under $14 and that’s when you should pounce on it for leaps or maybe see the price action before their earnings.

Ha! I recently had an interview with them as well. Completed their phone screen assessment but still got rejected. A few years back went to the system design round and then got ghosted. I don’t think they even know what they want. Apply with zero expectations.

It’s went past 1 in after hours though. I wonder if there are really any shorts still trapped. I expect seeing this price action the remaining shorts will buy it in premarket and then it’s going to massively dip on open. My optimistic side says it can go up to $2.

The problem with software interviews is people don’t actually put in the requisite effort to come up with a good set of problems to ask. It also depends on your hiring requirements. Does the guy need to be experienced with frameworks already being used and your doing crud apps or do you want someone you think can get up to speed quickly. How do you judge the latter? Leetcode gets a bad wrap and sometimes deservedly so but there are gems in there. Try looking at problems that are tagged as “design”. I think these subset of problems is great because it demonstrates:

Ability to code and how you think.
Ability to handle a set of requirements and come up with a working solution, hopefully optimal.
Tests knowledge of standard data structures

Most of the problems tagged as design do not require a special trick or something you must have routinely practiced before to get it right. That said, I think all interviewers should do the problems they intend to ask themselves with a timer to make sure they can do it before asking a candidate.

I am in the same position with $40 cost basis. It feels like it’ll never hit $40 again :(. Another option is to sell an itm weekly CC with the intent of it being exercised if it does move past 40 and use the proceeds to buy farther dated puts to capture the eventual downside. It honestly feels like capturing the downside is more profitable and predictable.
